Billy Corgan pulls off heel turn, files lawsuit against his own wrestling company

So not worth it
According to PWInsider (via Spin), Corgan has just filed a lawsuit against TNA Wrestling—a company that Corgan himself became the president of earlier this year. That on its own is a little strange, but it gets weirder: Corgan has also requested that the lawsuit be sealed, meaning any specific details about the case are currently being kept under wraps. Furthermore, the lawsuit names TNA owner Dixie Carter and her husband Serg Salinas as defendants and includes a restraining order against them. That means he’s taking on everybody, and we don’t know why. The PWInsider story notes that Corgan has been trying to buy TNA outright and suggests that there have been “obvious tensions” between Corgan and Carter, but unless he tried to pull off some big takeover move that backfired in an awful way, it’s unclear why he’d sue Carter and TNA.

Allegedly, Dixie Carter loaned money directly from Corgan just before the lawsuit: http://www.sescoops.com/exclusive-w...tapings-dixie-carter-owes-billy-corgan-money/

And still TNA isn't dead. It's amazing.

My understanding so far is that he's been floating her money to keep TNA alive along with some contract stuff and then she tried to pull some shady shit.

My source is completely from /r/squaredcircle threads so take that for what it's worth.

This appears to basically be it. Dixie's terrible.

In about 6 months, this roster won't have work

6 Months?

Try week to week.

Apparently the most recent set of tapings may not have entrance music cause Dixie cant pay for the rights for them to air on TV.

I thought Billy Corgan was that moody Smashin Pumpkins dude.

Correct but he is a huge wrestling fan and tried to buy into his hobby but Dixie being the constant retard cant just let it happen without fucking it up.

Also a massive wrestling fan.

Sort of. He founded Resistance Pro Wrestling (he left in 2014), afaik it's still going. But he didn't start at trying to buy into TNA though.

Its a work guyz. Your all getting WORKED. You're all Marks and that's a SHOOT.

It's all a big ploy so Dixie can get saved by the man.

Billy Corgan is not all right in the head though, so would abstain from making any judgment.

In 2016, he characterized progressive political campaigners as "social justice warriors", compared them to Maoists, cult members and the Ku Klux Klan, and called them a threat to freedom of speech.

Corgan has also in recent years increasingly espoused conspiracy theories, voiced his admiration for radio host Alex Jones and frequently appeared as a guest on the latter's radio show, where he has endorsed conspiracy theories such as "chemtrails" and the connection between vaccines and autism, decried the "emasculation" of men in contemporary society.

Corgan sometimes seems to be "wearing all of his clothes at once" or otherwise oddly dressed during these appearances, and has expressed strong political views, such as that swine flu was an "Obama conspiracy" and "propaganda".

I'd take him in a second over Dixie Carter, who is the personification of a needy mother who won't let her child leave home and find out what he wants from life.

Came here not expecting Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame.

Is Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins fame.

Mind blown.

If you want to know just how bad it's gotten with Corgan...he thinks VINCE RUSSO is great.

Look forward to a TNA on a pole match if Corgan gets control of the company

Vince/WWE are hovering purely for that tape library, right? They have no interest in running TNA as a separate company, or bringing in (back) any of their guys?

How hard is it to get facts correct before making a thread? TNA was never Corgan's company.

Except TNA has gotten better since he got involved, though yeah, dude still isn't right in the head.

None of that is true, TNA is safe until at least the end of the year, you're making shit up. And the rights issue was one episode and that's it from what has been said.

Despite the circlejerk on the internet, TNA going out of business would suck, they are genuinly better than Raw most weeks, Dixie is just a complete fucking idiot, but that doesn't mean it's funny for a company to go out of business and lots of people losing their jobs.

This isn't a heel turn, and Corgan doesn't own TNA. Dixie tried to cut some secret deal and Corgan's suing her to try to stop it. The majority of the locker room wants Corgan to buy TNA.

Corgan is a minority owner of TNA, yes.

The other story going around is that Dixie has been getting loans for each taping and never paying it all back each time.

Since TNA has basically been surviving on a per taping basis for over a year she probably owes a lot by now.

TBH I am not sure why Corgan doesn't just ditch them and start a new company. Do something a bit smaller but he can still scratch his wrestling owner itch without all the baggage.

Its not like that TNA TV deal is worth a lot and the talent are leaving in droves.
