I'm a little worried about the knife being mightier than the gun as it's been a problem in every game in the series and it looks like it is still a fucking problem after all this time as you can see in this video starting at 45 secs.

The guy gets shot point fucking blank but is still able to knife the guy?

Only the support killstreaks, it sounded like.

Edit: Actually I'm confused. Your counter for support killstreaks lasts through death, and I don't think it was mentioned whether the assault killstreaks actually stack. I thought they didn't but not sure where I heard this.

Huh, so you have as many lives as you need to get to 18 kills for the big Support airdrop? Seems pretty easy.

Going by the trailer, I think that's only in objective modes.

So, I'm guessing the "Assault" killstreak users will be going with the Assassin+Blind Eye+Dead Silence perk combination, and people using the other 2 killstreak loadouts will probably use all the other perks lol.

It sounded like the specialist loadout didn't get killstreaks at all but gets an additional perk with every kill? Maybe I'm confused.

God damn. That's what it is. Man you guys are impeccable and picking that kind of thing out. It just didn't look right to me but I couldn't actually pinpoint what it was. Yeah the FOV is fucked up.

Yeah, you get a new perk for every 2 consecutive kills, so after 6 consecutive kills you could have up to 6 perks. I think they also mentioned having access to every perk once you get 8 straight kills without dying or something.

To be fair the other guy basically ran right into his knife.

I got to say,except for weapon models,Black Ops on my 360 looks much better than anything shown from MW3.This looks soo...empty?Even though Treyarch artists have their ups and downs,I have to say,some of SP levels in BO look better by order of magnitude.

Actually,that Paris map looks good.

Well,we have seen NY footage at E3,and some bits from Europe,they all look to sterile to me.Everything is so fucking gray.The walls,the weapons,the ground,the cars...I dunno why?

It's a new game mode where you have to collect dog tags to "confirm" kills. The kills don't count for killstreaks or for the team score until they're confirmed.
 
Its seems like nothing at all has changed. Everything looks similar and nothing has been fixed. Even the kill streak stacking is back. I'm a Call of Duty fan and this to me looks like Modern Warfare 2.5, not 3.

What are you referring to? I remember it being abused to boost kills and get nukes, so no nuke no problem (see blops), unless they replace it with something equally obnoxious.

It was abused in FFA the most. If you were smart, you could tell when people were doing it in the other modes. Some arrow all the way in the corner map not moving? Probably a booster.

I hope it's in, I had a lot of fun in MW2 using it legitmately. Didn't use it much in Blops, the beeping/giant flashing made it next to useless.

I might bite and pull out after the first map pack like I did with the last two. Hopefully, I can stay and rock out with this if the community is strong.

I knew they wouldn't give us all 21 maps stated in the leak. That's kind of annoying to know we could have had them but it's being held back for DLC no doubt.

Wow, I'm not sure what to think of this.

On one hand there are a lot of little but very smart changes to the fundamental COD mechanics that I really like and it looks like there's a wide variety of content in the game. On the other hand the game looks, behaves, and sounds exactly like MW2. So much so that it feels like I'm looking at a very large expansion pack instead of an actual new game.

I understand that some folks will say, "Dude, it's a COD game, they all look the same", but every other COD release to date has managed to feel different but familiar. Both Treyarch and Infinity Ward have been very smart on making sure each new COD feels and behaves differently from anything that came before. This looks and behaves so much like MW2 it's a little eerie.

I know I'm only going by videos so who knows... my opinion on this could change when I actually get to play MW3.

The few seconds of sniper gameplay we've seen don't inticate that this is the case, which is great. The agresssive auto-aim in Modern Warfare 2 invited way too many people to quickscope as it was really easy to get a few cheap kills. However, if you're a skilled player, you should be able to take out these people (those who rely heavily on the auto-aim) without any problems. There's a huge number of people out there who just quickscope for the sake of quickscoping and that's something I hate as well. That doesn't mean that quickscoping itself is a problem and too many people completely ignore that almost every FPS allows you to quickscope. The problem is not quickscoping - the problem is quickscoping + auto aim + sleight of hand pro.
