If you have such a loose grasp on reality to think the Clinton campaign started the birher conspiracy you need to table you political positions for now and take fresh look at where we are today and what we need to do to move forwards.
I'm going to blame anyone who gave Trump cover on his part in the birther movement and as a result helped him get elected despite salacious and untrue claims about the former President.
The best that happened today is that Comey confirmed there is an active investigation, which deflates the WH and GOP insistence of "fake news" regarding Trump/Russia. There is also the fact that he was able to comment on Trumps wiretap claims, effectively debunking them and getting Trump in deeper water for lying. There is also the clarification over Clappers previous comments regarding evidence of collusion, which the GOP tried to use to defuse the issue publicly in the past.
Not to mention that we got to hear multiple Democrats state facts regarding the Trump/Russia connections, regardless whether Comey could comment or not. Those facts matter, and having them heard is important.
Overall, it was a pretty good day for those who want the truth to come out.

That in and of itself is huge. Trump kept dismissing this shit as "fake news" for the longest time, even trying to get people from the FBI or DOJ to deny that there was any investigation or connection between him and Russia. Now it's on the record: he's being investigated.
Anything more substantial or specific than that is likely to be classified and part of their ongoing investigation, and as such couldn't be commented on in an open hearing.

Even the president gets due process, and even then it will still come down to the legislative branch to impeach him. You would want to make sure the case is wager tight on this because if not, consider the stakes.
But I don't think this leads to impeachment either. It doesn't need to.
The FBI has no power to remove him from office. The best they can do is complete a thorough investigation and recommend action once it's completed.
It's still far too early to jump to conclusions one way or another, but I suspect if they have sufficient evidence to put Trump campaign aides in jail, they will have enough evidence to prove Trumps connection to it. Largely because I don't think the rats will go to jail to protect him. They will start singing as soon as they're facing indictment.

Your defeatism isn't bursting anyone's bubble. The financial links will do him in to the point he doesn't have plausible deniability (he already doesn't imo from what the press has released, that Florida mansion sale to an oligarch is already a fire). It's going to take time before the IC has an iron clad enough case for impeachment to put out publicly. He already is impeachable on emoluments grounds. Another massive fuck up even unrelated to the Russian treason could oust him.
