Never played FFXIII, even so it sits besides me in my shelf, but how can anyone like this game and its plot: "Now we go grinding!" "Look out, a pointless dungeon ahead!". Just wow.
The bad guy's voice being the "You're in my way, sir"-SWAT-Officer is just brilliant!
It truly is a horrendous game in all respects, outside of graphics. Really.
It's the only game, that I can think of, where people excuse 20 hours of walking down a corridor with "after that, though, it gets really good." When, really, it only gets okay. After twenty hours of walking in a straight line. As if, even if being on Pulse was brilliant it excuses the atrocious beginning.
It is, hands down, the worst Final Fantasy, only possibly being surpassed by FF2. At least 2 has the excuse of, well, RPGs had just kind only been invented. XIII-2 is better, but only by default because XIII is so damn bad. It, also, has terrible writing but at least starts of significantly faster.
For the life of me I cannot understand any of the justification for why people like the game or why anybody marks it as their favorite. It's just trash.
