Thanks to Cosmonaut X for the previous Nintendo Downloads threads!

Man would I be stoked if I was looking for some DS demos!

Gotta admit, it is depressing seeing multiple new releases for the japanese 3DS shop/VC and uh... none for NA and Euro.

NoE and NoA will only reveal this week's eShop releases tomorrow. I'm pretty sure we'll get at least one VC title :P

Crossing my fingers once again for Double Dragon (GB) in NA. I've been pining for it ever since it released in EU. :(

Yeah, it works the same as on the DS. Just go to Download Play on your 3DS and select Nintendo DS.

YES. use the DS download button instead. God, you are annoyingly old, aren't you?

Sega said those Wonder Boy games were coming out for Virtual Console in early 2012, right?

That's soon, right?

Before the end of 2011, IIRC. Remember, we've already got most of them - only the arcade version of Monster Land and the translated MW4 (which has been rated for a long time) are currently unavailable.

Looking at the news postings on it, it says "late 2011/early 2012."

Still, I'm extra super pumped for these to release!

In addition to video games available at retail stores, Nintendo also offers a variety of content that people can download directly to their systems. Nintendo adds new titles to the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS™ system, to the Nintendo DSi™ Shop for the Nintendo DSi system and to the Wii™ Shop Channel for the Wii console at 9 a.m. Pacific time on Thursdays.

The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service and features games, applications and videos in both 2D and 3D. Users can add money to their virtual wallets using a credit card or by purchasing a Nintendo 3DS Prepaid Card at a retail store and entering the code from the card.

The Wii Shop Channel offers games and applications and uses Wii Points™, which can be purchased via the Wii Shop Channel. The Nintendo DSi Shop offers games and applications and uses Nintendo DSi Points™, which can be purchased in the Nintendo DSi Shop. A Nintendo Points Card™ can be purchased at retail locations. All points from one Nintendo Points Card must be redeemed in either the Wii Shop Channel or the Nintendo DSi Shop. They are not transferable and cannot be divided between the two systems.

Remember that Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi feature parental controls that let adults manage some of the content their children can access. For more information about this and other features, visit http://www.nintendo.com/wii, http://www.nintendo.com/3ds or http://www.nintendo.com/ds/systems/dsi.

I was kind of hoping Pizza Quest was a game.

But Picross is pretty cool. I'll get around to picking that up when I finish my re-run of DK 94.

As good as I hear Mario's Picross to be, I think I'll hold out for a localized version of Picross-E.

Mario's Picross? YES PLEASE.

Serious question here: what was the last Virtual Console game released in Europe for Wii? Have I missed out on anything significant since, uh... Chrono Trigger?

Super Adventure Island II on June 10th was the most recent release.

Yay for Picross!

Why can't they give those smaller titles some sort of description or room on the press releases?
Poor guys.

Mario Picross is good, but I think I'll save my remaining $8 until theres a game that has the words 'land' or 'oracle' in it.

Can it be so hard to put games up for download? The eShop in the US and Europe is a catastrophe. I'm amazed again by Nintendo's online incompetence every single time.

Mario's Picross shall satisfy me for the time being, but I will continue to pine for Double Dragon haha.

Shame to see that Nintendo is sticking with the meager trickle of games. It just looks so barebones after checking out the PSN Store update on Tuesdays.

I can't believe i'm still waiting for a Megaman X VC release over here in PAL land, it's either fuel for the Capcom killing Megaman conspiracy theory or far more likely it's just freaking ridiculous.

The US got an unannounced demo for Jam City Rollergirls on WiiWare in addition to Monochrome Racing today.

I've never played Mario's Picross. I think I'll buy it. I played the demo of Picross 3D today and thought it was pretty cool. :P

Hey Brazil, can you change the "No new releases to date" to "No new releases this month" so we don't get posts like the one by Fong Ghoul?
