Ryback is now claiming he's trying to do the Ryback/Goldberg Snickers commercial on Twitter. I can't tell if he's joking.

The W-1/TNA show sounds like a trainwreck - varying reports, but it seems Sumo Hall is only about half full and bad weather/transport trouble in Tokyo today won't have helped matters. Abyss vs Takayama was said to be real bad, but Takayama took a fucking thumbtacks bump on the stage and was counted out. Joe turned on Desperado during their 6-man tag, leaving them to get beat up by Rob Terry & Mutoh. The only match that sounds worthwhile so far is Masakatsu Funaki vs Bobby Roooooooooooo, which was said to be pretty great. Funaki tapped out Bobby with the ankle hold and then got on the mic to say he wants a match with Kurt Angle!

Also, regarding Lionheart (who got injured taking the Styles Clash at PCW last night), Preston City Wrestling tweeted that he's doing well and has regained feeling and movement in his arms & legs, so hopefully it's all good news for him from here on out.

*edit, oh yeah, HUUUUUGE Dragon Gate spoiler;
Ricochet defeated Masato Yoshino to win the Open the Dream Gate title, becoming the first gaijin to ever win the belt
!

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL, TNA;

You remember how the American Wolves won the TNA tag titles on a house show, because no one in Japan knows who the fuck the BroMans are? Well, TNA went and added the BroMans to the Wolves vs Hayashi & Kondo match anyways (making the house show switch entirely unnecessary) and, whatsmore, they just pinned Kaz Hayashi to win back their tag titles

TNA! TNA! TNA!

Meltzer says Punk is coming back, he says a big name high up in WWE who would know told him he'd be back 100%.

He seems pretty sure of himself, but still does the usual I'm not really sure stuff he always does.

If that is true then he is most likely the 3rd man in the title match at WrestleMania then.

Also, from Wrestle-1/TNA:

Seiya Sanada pinned Austin Aries with Moonsault Press. Seiya Sanada is the new TNA X Division Champion

Well hope they explain this better than the whole Bro man debacle. At least he is coming over to TNA to due a run.

Nice,
wrestling in the US should do Sanada a world of good, as it's obvious W-1 want him to be a big star, but he has been struggling to convince audiences that he fits the bill

I think so, nothing less than the main event of Mania would have gotten him back, it's also the only way without Bryan that the match isn't getting buried by the crowd.

Punk takes the pin? Aren't most expecting Big Dave to walk out as champion? If he is leaving in July then he might have a short program with Batista up to it.

if he even returns

I think it is likely to see Punk getting the title if he comes back. Unless it is on his contract, why oh why would Batista win, even if those were the original plans, it would be insane to give the fans that much of a finger on the biggest event of the year. Also the one that will make many people decide if the Network is really worth it.

Do it, set up Punk's feud with Bryan for whatever reason and on with the year.

Yes Punk will come back.

So will Goldberg and Angle

Meltzer seemed pretty convinced, said he was told 100% by a guy high up who would know. Made it seem like it came from a guy like Trips or Cena, that level.

Don't see why they would work him if Punk is not coming back and I can see them leaking it online to pop that rating Monday.

Quick update, lionheart has broke his neck but it's a clean break with no nerve damage so he'll be ok thankfully

Horrible moment

Wow, glad to hear he's relatively OK, hopefully he'll be back in the ring soon enough - that could have potentially gone a lot worse, it looked nasty as hell.

Incidentally, I see PCW have a few shows up for VOD on vimeo - any one you'd particularly recommend? How was Festive Fury, outside of the Vader debacle?

Festive fury was pretty woeful mate

Yesterday's shows were well worth watching when they go up and Supershow 3 had some great matches and you can see me hugging Kevin steen

The daytime show had steen travis and the night show has steen mastiff

Return as face, win belt, turn heel, feud with Bryan up to SummerSlam.

That sounds good. Make it really personal too, go back on the indie history.

Thank you for the the update, saw the gif last night in bed on my phone and got upset, I'm glad there's no nerve damage. I hate seeing that shit.

I'm strangely intrigued by Jeff Jarrett flapping his lips about this new promotion he's going to start up. Would he start in Nashville again?

I'm watching that this week in wwe thingie and John Cena really sold the hell out of this knee injury. The way the match suddenly looked awkward and slightly less scripted.

If it weren't for leaks, for the announcers making a huge deal of this while injuries are usually hushed, and on and on; I would have totally bought it. The in-ring action (and acting) was perfect.

Also: every single recap of Raw this week omited Daniel Bryan calling HHH a coward. And it was mentioned once in Smackdown with no follow-up. I'm smelling conspiracy.

Just go full Wrestlemania 2000 for this ME. Orton vs Batista vs Punk vs Bryan.

Will be the only way to get the fans to stop shitting all over Orton vs Batista

What a terrible show that was. 9 matches, 5 which were made the night of the show and had a build starting on the go home Thunder or pre show. Steiners have a 9 month build to finally have a singles match and it ends in 5 minutes with Buff reinjuring his neck. It was a SWERVE that lasted about 10 minutes.

Good news imo if true.

Punk spitting his dummy out and then getting his own way is pretty shit if all of this was legit. If it was a work it's no worse than CHIKARA's 'shut down'.

Don't want Punk back. Want Bryan to beat Trips to force himself in title match and walk out with the belt.

And as Bryan is celebrating and Triple H pretends to give him a handshake to congrulate him. Hits him with a pedigree. Punk makes his return, runs into the ring and Triple H starts an impromptu match to give Punk the title with Triple H as ref. The two then celebrate together as the show goes off the air.

Bryan aint getting his happy moment so you might as well just give up on it

No chance in hell Punk is given the title.

thinking about cancelling my Observer sub because of how frequently Dave Meltzer says 'y'know'

is this reasonable

Meltzer's report was that CM Punk will be AT Raw. I'm still not convinced that means we'll see him back on TV. I guess I'll believe it when I see it.

Goldberg gave himself a legit concussion with that spear on DDP there. He stumbles and falls trying to get up afterwards.

Yeah, DDP said on Stone Colds podcast that he was a little pissed with Goldberg for kicking out dead on 2, but Goldberg ended up apologising because he can't even remember the match after that spear.
