Great. Now can we get Dangoro?

Bara isn't on their list of boxes to check.

I don't expect my Princess Theory to work out but it is Team Ninja

The Rosa Sisters did see Link as their master in the end.

Judo and Marilla in HD designed by Team Ninja would be scandalous

It's all we have to go on and this is NeoGAF ~BELIEVE~

Rosa Sisters would most likely be the most fun characters if they incorporate their dance moves into a fighting style.

Man, I loved that minigame in OoT.

The fact I can't find a place to eat in Castle Town but there's a shop where you let loose wall-climbing time bombs is kind of crazy.

Sounds like she will use her parasol and, indeed, her bugs.

http://gematsu.com/2014/06/hyrule-warriors-lana-brand-new-character

Following our Hyrule Warriors report yesterday, further details have surfaced about new playable characters Agitha and Lana.

Agitha, who hails from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, uses a parasol in battle, and can call upon and attack with insects.

Lana, who we speculated was Princess Lana of Captain N: The Game Master, is actually an original character. She is a witch who wields a book of magic in battle, and can create barriers to brush away enemies. When the barrier is broken, however, the shock will cause her damage.

Also revealed, Link’s Hook Shot will make a reappearance. It can be used to reach places normally not accessible.

Additionally, when you have certain strengthening items on hand, it’s possible bring down the moon from The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask as an attack.

Hyrule Warriors is due out for Wii U on September 26 in North America and September 19 in Europe.

Thanks, Hachima Kikou.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
And the BombChu girl and we need variations on Zelda.

It's kind of amazing that -aside from that Ganondorf tease at E3- Link is the only confirmed and shown male character in the game.

It seems like a joke about Ubisoft's statement that will never end, at this point.

Wait, so with Majora's Mask, they've referenced every 3D Zelda except Wind Waker? What the heck? Why? You can even throw Tetra in there if you have to fit the theme. Or like have the giant squid or the Helmaroc King as a boss somehow. You don't need to make Makar playable.

I'd be surprised if Volvagia dude didn't end up being playable in some way.

Maybe they don't want to bother remaking the Wind Waker characters with realistic proportions.

I mean that'd kinda make sense even if you ignored Midna, but we should at least be able to see a boss or something. Maybe Ganondorf with get twin swords and that'll count.

Current speculation is that Lana's name is derived from Lanayru, which would make her a new version of Nayru the goddess and Nayru the Oracle of Ages. It makes sense, considering her blue color palette, overall appearance, and use of barrier magic. The only question is why they chose to make a new version of the character, rather than just use OoA Nayru, but I it isn't really unusual for the Zelda series to re-imagine characters like that.

I agree they should try to include Wind Waker characters. I'm just speculating why they might not.

Back to characters in general... It seems clear Ganondorf will be playable. I'm going to assume for a moment that Zant will be playable, too. In which case, I think the following are my most wanted:

- Saria (OoT)
- Darunia (OoT) or Dangoro (TP)
- Koume & Kotake / Twinrova (OoT)
- General Onox (OoS)
- Skull Kid (MM)
- Vaati (TMC)

I could see Veran (from OoA) getting in because tits

A half-naked Nabooru also seems quasi-inevitable

Well, they said the game does not fit the established timeline, but there are connections to the other games. I don't think they said it was outright non-canon. From what I understand, this game is in a new timeline.
I believe it was confirmed to be noncanon.

Agitha is kind of driving me crazy because I'm convinced there's an NPC we're all overlooking who's an obvious addition (in a post-Agitha-in-Hyrule-Warriors world, I mean)

That one that appeared in Captain Rainbow. I don't remember her name but she was in captain rainbow so yeah.

You're thinking of Crazy Tracy, from Link's Awakening.

I only know this because I was looking at the Zelda Wiki's character lists trying to find crazy NPCs who might fit in Hyrule Warriors post-Agitha revelation.

On that subject, Maple (from the Oracle games and ALttP GBA port) might not be a bad pick.

If he's in it, Darunia needs to totally take influence from Huang Gai's moveset.

If you can roll around the battlefield and alternate between suplexing and backbreaking enemy officers (which they sure don't make like they used to), Hyrule Warriors will immediately become the game of forever.

If we get Darunia either him or Valga should get a representation of the Megaton Hammer. Apparently Impa's weapon is the Biggoron Sword or a sword forged by Biggoron but really same difference.

Yaaaaaaaaaaas.

That whole group of heroes were wasted, not just her.

I remember thinking that too. Did you have to find them first in the overworld, then they ended up at that bar?

Aside from that one cutscene in the last dungeon, they didn't do anything. This game would be their chance to shine
