Amazon/Target/Wal-Mart/BB/Gamestop PS4 Black Friday Bundles are up $399.99 GTA V-TLOU

It's #1 on Gamestop so not sure what's happening with that,

Amazon has messed up their rankings something fierce in the past two weeks. Used to be frozen (daily/ monthly), and now it's even worse.

Honestly, look at the individual Sku of the GTA V bundle. It says that not only is it selling worse over time (went from 7000 to 8000+ since it went live), it is the least selling of the PS4 SKUs currently (#7).

Chance of that being true? 0

I won't go into conspiracy theory because the books and Cds rankings are also fubared, but coincidentally this "glitch" seems to favor the XB1 massively in the rankings of what is 'bestselling'.

I think the ps4 will win November.
I think it will be close, but I'd bet that Xbox One will narrowly beat out the PS4 this month.
The price cut and a $329 black Friday bundle, that coupled with the fact that Sony doesn't really have the big exclusive this holiday and haven't budged on the $399 price tag. It would be really bad for Microsoft if they can't pull out the win this month. They've been building towards a great November for months now. I think PS4 goes back to dominating early next year though. Microsoft is kind of blowing their load right now, I feel.

HOLY SHIT THAT PS4 BUNDLE JUMPED ON AMAZON.

#2 already? This weekend will be interesting.

LBP and LEGO Bundle is number 25 right now.

Why are so many people buying that Assassin's Creed bundle? Isn't Unity broken? Why not the MCC bundle? I'm surprised the Asscreed bundle is selling more than the MCC one.

I don't think they will raise the price back up by much. Should stay at 349.

MS is getting what they want, to build a higher mindshare and installed base going, maybe a friend-snowball effect going after the holidays.

Sony is making a huge mistake I think. They should be ensuring PS4 annihilated any chance of the competition as early as possible, they are letting XboxOne gain too much ground IMHO. All the ADs and everywhere in Amazon is Xbox, holy crap.

I disagree Ps4 has been selling as well as it has all year, at the same time maintaining it's value. It makes no sense to lose profit just for one month. As I said once things stabilize, I think x1 sells are gonna drop fast. I run my own business short term thinking is never good.

If you think he's wrong, there is only one way to settle this: Challenge him to an avatar bet.

Or I'll just wait for confirmation before saying anything. The facts are that right now every time they display 349 it's followed by "a limited time only". Everything else is 100% pure speculation.

Even if the X1's price doesn't go back up, its sales will suffer throughout most of 2015 because it doesn't have nearly as many exclusives until next holiday season. You want your system to sell consistently all year and that is what the X1 failed to do this year. The X1 just cannot rely on the holidays every time.

Honestly when you go down it's impossible to turn back and to what?
399$ Xbox One with a game inlcuded has been handily outsold by PS4 in October.
In January Xbox One will be announced for the new price of 349$ without the free games included.
And it's the best compromise, they keep the lower entry price, they don't end up losing a lot of money if at all per unit sold. It's clear that at the moment they're selling at a loss because they wanted to stop PS4 gaining further ground in the US at all costs, literally :D

I dunno when Crackdown is coming out, but their next Noteworthy (IMO) game to come out is Halo 5 end of 2015.

Right, and that's still 100% pure speculation as I stated earlier. Until it's been confirmed or you know something about Microsoft the rest of us don't know it's just personal musings.

Just came back from Target. Clerk said Xbox One is kicking PS4 ass in the time since the store opened.

You mean to tell me the store with by far the best deal on Xbone sold a lot of them when the store opened? Pics or it didn't happen.

Both consoles are going to sell a lot folks. We haven't even wrapped Thursday yet.

Nobody would feel the incentive to buy a "349 from here on out" bundle. Effective marketing. Grab as many early sales from people foolish enough to believe it is limited, then retain the price after the holidays.

Bundled games may diminish or lessen, but no way the price goes back up unless they want sales to plummet.

It seems to me there were less XB1's to begin with. So less piles doesn't necessarily equal more BF sales.

I still think MS dominates this month though. Sweet price, sweet deals the whole month long. If they don't beat Sony by a sizable amount, oh boy...

Considering the amount of money MS is losing on that deal it's likely the available allocation for this weekend was limited. Perhaps some people who work in retail can chime in eventually.

You think most of the parents buying presents for their children know if a game that they have never heard of is broken?

I tried looking for the release date for Crackdown and all I found was that it's coming out in 2015. And you don't think Quantum Break is the X1's next noteworthy game?

If Microsoft sticks at $349 after the holidays, I don't think Sony will be far behind. January or February price drop.

I don't think Sony wants to play the price match game. Especially considering PS4 is one of the 3 moneymakers in their business. Unless some miracle happens and the X1 outsells PS4 in ww sales I don't see the point of Sony dropping the price in only one country.

Was the PS4 Black Friday bundle available right away?

PS4 is up to #2 on Amazon right behind the XB1. Doesn't look like PS4 is being dominated at all. I'm sure XB1 is selling better in all retailers but I really think the "flying off the shelf" comments are hyperbolic. Let's say XB1 wins this November, I don't see it winning by more than 100-200k. And that would be a very impressive comeback.

Me and the best buy games manager are pretty fimilar with each other since I see him every Tuesday for the last 7-8 years. He said MS sent "way less" bundles for his store and throughout the district.

Edit: spelling error

Okay, but for the third time that's 100% pure speculation.

MCC's broken, too. at least black flag works.
Black Flag is a year-old cross-gen title. A free game is a free game but there's nothing good about the XB1 Unity bundle besides its price. It really is a no-brainer. If you're looking for an XB1, this is the bundle to buy, even if you hate Ass
assin's Creed.
.

Event though Sony isn't being very competitive on price, they're giving 2 highly-rated games away for free. PS4 has the better bundle. XB1 has the better price.

Good point. Some people just can't look past the U.S. and see the bigger picture.

Maybe for others, but not Me.

Those are my 2 big games for 2015 on the X1 so far.

Hmmm I wonder why Sony didn't discount the Destiny bundle to get rid of excess stock before the expansion drops?

Do they pay Activision upfront or by the bundle sold? The latter would make more sense for them not dropping the price.

What is speculation, that sales are going to plummet once the price goes back to $399? That Microsoft would say: hey, we won the US holiday season, which by the way cost us 8 figures, just for the lulz?

Ironically, the Superbowl ends in January.

What happened to the white console being sold separately? They said by November but nothing happened.

I treat the 349 price cut as temporary until I see confirmation otherwise. Pretty simple.

Where are you guys getting the numbers from for how much this is costing MS? There's still a few months to go till their quarterly report. Even then chances are we won't know because they could still show a profit in their gaming division factoring in the division as a whole.

According to Greenberg, the rest of the year is only pre season. I honestly think it could go either way, for the price drop. I also think that they'll try to bleed less money per console sold, wether it would be by unpacking games and keeping the price as is, or getting the price back up. Other advantage of putting the price bak up and keeping 1 game bundled would be to not look like manipulative bastards, but that ship probably sailed a long time ago... ;)
