I think both machines will be universally sold out by the end of the month. The only issue now is who has shipped more machines.

I think anyone still doubting should accept XBO is gonna win handily this month. When you're gettin' shit for $329 with two games and a gift card, that makes up for the relative limitations of the system in relation to PS4. It's priced appropriately. It's the value the market wanted for a system like XBO.

Oh I'm relatively confident that MS will take the month. Doubt it'll be a blowout though.

I still think it will come down to who had more consoles shipped out to retail'

Exaxtly, I don't know why people are still surprised by what's going on.

The deals are definitely better. But XB1 has had plenty of deals all year and PS4 still beat it. Look at Destiny month when they were giving away free games. The Destiny bundle cost $450.

The demand seems to be high and they will sell alot, but imo it still can go either way.

Well, it's not unreasonable to be skeptical as there were several X1 deals earlier this year and the PS4 still outsold the X1. The difference is that this time, MS finally nailed the value with these bundles. The previous deals, in my opinion, did not have good value.

a Neogaf stalker? 1 or 2 pictures doesn't mean it's happening everywhere. Very poor evidence and support whomever wrote that article. Assuming the writer is stalking and reading this thread.

Those pictures don't indicate anything except that the sales floor has less of one product than the other.

That could happen for a variety of reasons, only one of which includes "selling like hot cakes". There's also a very reasonable reason why the Xbox One would sell better prior to Black Friday and that has a lot to do with the fact that their Black Friday bundles and sales turned into a whole-of-November sale.

As a more general look at things, I personally do not like the way Microsoft handles desperation behind the scenes. Their bundles and sales are fantastic for consumers, don't get me wrong, but how they handle it elsewhere really troubles me. For example, dropping 2 billion on Mojang, or locking up a previously multi-platform Tomb Raider game for an unspecified amount of time while continuously obfuscating everything they possibly can about the deal. Their lack of first party developer support means the first half of 2015 is devoid of any exclusive titles, and for a box that is essentially a weaker multi-platform machine I think that might bite them in the ass once that snowballs into "Xbone has no games".

Now I'm thinking back hard, I do remember a lot of GAF users were saying a similar thing about the Titanfall month. "Come on guys, it's Titanfall, it's been hyped to hell. This will probably be the month X1 gets a win."

their Black Friday bundles and sales turned into a whole-of-November sale.

Now you mention it, even their $329 price point was unleashed like 12 hours early.

I mean there are deals and then there are DEALS.

The deals this month have been by any measure certifiably insane. Lest we forget this is a system that started a year ago at $500 and is now hitting stores with 2 games and gift cards for $329. I mean, this is go-for-broke type shit, the type of cutthroat hardcore hardball that only Microsoft can even afford. I'm sure PS4 is selling great - both Wal-Mart and Best Buy clearly had tons of stock eaten through near me - but you're going into a store, looking for a great value, and MS has the value to beat this year. There's just no comparison.

There is a comparison if you're looking for the stronger system in the long run. If you offer me add on leather seats and a navigation system in a Hyundai, I'm still not picking it over a comparatively priced base version of a Toyota. The long term performance difference isn't worth it.

It is awesome to see all these consoles selling. Sell Xbones! Sell PS4s!

I just hope Rockstar fixes their GTA Online servers . . . they are about to get hammered.

We go though this every single month now.

B-b-b Titanfall
B-b-b Kinectless SKU/price parity
B-b-b Forza 399 bundle vs PS4 nogaem 399
B-b-b Madden bundle
B-b-b Free Game Promotion (Destiny week)
B-b-b Forza Horizon 2 and SSO vs noexclusive PS4

This month is unquestionably the strongest that MS has been since March though.

Looking at Amazon sales the Xbox one has outsold the PS4 (as of Nov 28 1:30am EST) - though the AC bundle is only 4 places above the standalone PS4, we don't know what the sales difference between the 2 is, coupled with the ridiculous sales spike on blackfriday through to Cyber Monday, there is a possibility of the PS4 outselling the Xbox one.

There are certainly a lot of things going for the XBO, and many signs suggest a likely NPD victory in November for them, but is it enough to have won 'handily'? I'm not sure what that even means.

150-200k is handily to me for a Black Friday month.

You have no basis for your numbers though.

Basis for what? it's a prediction. I don't need a basis for a prediction other than observations on the retail layout as it's been reported and what I've witnessed.

I don't think that's likely. I expect sub 100k difference between the two no matter who takes the win from NPD. I think we're overinflating the value of these Xbone bundles when they include broken games and older titles. I also think we're undervaluing the PS4 bundles that would appeal directly to families with two brand spanking new titles specifically for them. Combine that with our tendency to ignore the appeal to the hardcore crowd with arguably the top two games from last generation in their best form even if they are re-releases.

PS4 is now #1 at Amazon and Ganestop. Price isn't everything and PS4 is holding its own. The fact that it can ourank the XB1 at all is really impressive. Let's hope it can maintain that spot all day tomorrow.

200K just seems a bit excessive to me. But you are right it's just your prediction.

PS4 outsold XB1 by nearly 300k in Destiny month.

I think honestly I might be underestimating how big the gap might be in November when sales numbers tend to go really big in general, but I'm lowballing it because I just can't seem to get a clear grip on how well PS4 is doing. Some reports have it doing very brisk sales, others getting absolutely stomped.

So I went with a 200k lowball number. XBO's deals are just too insane.

A lot also of course depends on the type of shipment numbers MS and Sony got into retail, but MS already had way more units on shelves to begin with due to retail backup so..

PS4 reclaiming the #1 spot and #19 spots on Amazon and being #1 on Gamestop supports the notion that Sony was smart to not drop the price regardless of short-term sales trends.

well that's a different debate. I would absolutely agree with you, especially given Sony's financial position especially, that they made the smart choice in keeping it the price they did. They're still selling great, and they get to do it at a higher price. I'd milk that price at least until June 2015.

+1 PS4 bundle sale for me

Never played TLoU on PS3, and only played GTA to the first heist, so I'm in for a treat. Mine came with a $10 PSN voucher in the box too.
