John's crouching at the door, desperate to shoot more knees.

Another excellent episode. Liked how the Elias arc finished up. Fusco gets another nice moment to shine, showing that he really does wanna leave his dirty cop past behind and be the good guy again. John continues to get awesome badass knee cap moments. Every episode needs at least one.

There needs to be a drinking game.

For me other than one episode, every episode has been better than the last.
This could have been my favorite though I still love the Stasi agent episode.

Cool. Though odd that it would just be right now when she resurfaces. But hopeful that at least 1 of the 2 cia guys are dead, with the other soon to follow :)

Also, calling it, this laptop that was left behind, totally not a priority. I think "The Machine" was tested there, or it was another version of it. Noticed the red targets of reese and the woman, as they were coming in.

What a fucking great episode. The flashbacks to 2010 and the present were handled great, loved the ending track, and the ending twist itself was awesome.

Fusco being the hero again was great.

Also, a Chinese version of the Machine? Intriguing, wonder how they did that. Information leak? Also, you guys notice the slightly modified intro? Wonder how Kara survived the drone strike.

THIS FUCKING SHOW.

This show is like the anti-CBS procedural.

I'm sure it will get repetitive in the future and become a caricature of itself, but I don't care

Well the only meddling the CBS execs have done so far is have the writers bring Carter in earlier, don't believe she was supposed to be part of the group till the end of the season. And to add more humor. Both positives! I have faith.

Yup, easily the best show on CBS. Thursday is pretty much the only time i turn on CBS. I actually like the mentalist too. i know its another procedural, but I think the main actor is quite good, and totally makes the show

Why would the CIA give
john and his partner orders to retire each other? Had they not done that, both would have been nuked from orbit in this last episode.

How did Reese escape the rooftop bombing in china so quickly? That's TV for you. Great show though.

Oh, we aren't spoiler tagging anything.

I think they shot that last part to purposely mislead you just before showing you that his partner is still alive in the hotel suite scene.

What probably happened is they both realized that they are left for dead as John says at the end about te air strike. They decided to split up and run for it. They purposely left this part out to keep the suspense up during the reveal that John's partner is alive and hunting agent Snow.

Man CBS is killing the ratings for this with such sporadic schedule.

They really are, last night's show was the lowest rated one they've had. Although to be fair, pretty much every broadcast show on the major networks hit their lowest points of the entire season last night, most hitting their lowest points in the history of the shows.

NFL draft got a massive audience in the demo rating and likely affect every show.

To be double sure? Snow isn't the most competent agent.

I wonder if Kara is 'Root'.

Also, I don't think John knows she survived. If they were in on it together, why was he all fucked up and drunk when Finch found him? If he and Cara were working together on the outside, what's the need for that?

This show continues to play with my emotions.

They need to pull a 24 and have a 2 hour season finale.

Also, I thought that she would be alive, just too convenient to just call an air strike and end it there. Too easy.

how is this show? in comparison to s1 of lost or fringe

It's mostly a procedural, more like Fringe than Lost in terms of structure. We get drips of info every week into the past of the two main characters and as the season has gone on there have been story arcs that have lasted weeks to go along with the main "job" that differs each week. Also getting more of the back story stuff as the season has gone on.

is it better then fringe s1 then?

ooh... is it better then fringe s2/s3?

POI's themes and characters are a lot different compared to Fringe, but I think it's writing and overarching arcs and characters are written very well and it's pretty tight. Themes include stuff like mass surveillance, invasion of privacy, the expendability of soldiers, vigilantism, espionage, government overreach, stuff like that. Fringe is more about the manipulation of nature, playing God, alternate universes, family ties, stuff like that. Asides from the procedural nature of both shows and the presence of overarching arcs, they are really different, which kind of makes it hard to judge these shows.

What Person of Interest does, it does really, really well. The first episode or two are shaky, but it gets into it's groove very, very fast, compared to Fringe which took 13 or 14 episodes to hit the sweet spot.

yeah thats the best way to describe it.
I like the Fringe characters better.
but POI handles its focus perfectly, 'case of the week' are just as good quality wise as the major arc stuff, and the characters are perfect for what they're supposed to be.
So far it also doesn't have a drawn out feeling some similar shows have.

"Foe" is still my favorite episode

I've watched a few episodes of Fringe, I've tried to "get into it", but I can't. I just don't see what other people see in the show. Maybe it's just that I'm waiting for Walter to yell out "FLEEE FLEE FLEEEEE FOR YOUR LIIIIIVES" and for Gordon Bombay to show up and talk some sense into Charlie Bishop.

That's the one with Alan Dale as the Stasi agent, right? Fantastic episode, great ending.

Every episode has 2-3 twists, some not as obvious as others. Not sure that's a good thing, but I enjoy the show nonetheless.

Just watched the most recent episode and it was flipping awesome. I assume no weird breaks from now until the finale right?

love this show, cut out almost all other procedurals except this castle and hawaii five-0 and this is definitely the best one.

Reese is a badass. Nice to get the rest of his backstory leading up to around when he was recruited. Next week is the penultimate episode!
