Sounds strange. I expected to find a lot of scrubs shortly after launch. After all, I still find scrubs in T6!

Man it's hard to read this topic, knowing that it can take two to even five days before I will be able to play.

Whos the person in the dev process who thinks that a person playing solo should have double health and rejuvination.

That does not equal the tag team.

For one thing, while its true a person playing a tag technically has double health, they can still die at half health (if your point man dies.) plus its actually completely impossible to use up ALL your available health in a tag team.

And in tag only the backup player will renuvinate health.

So effectively what youre going up againts with a solo guy if youre a tag is someone who has more health than you and can rejuvinate it for no reason.

The only thing you cant do is a tag combo obviously. But im not sure that makes up the difference...

Wow, they really got every character speaking in their native language - except Ling and Lars - in apparently flawless translations. Harada does what Hollywood don't.

Unless you're going to kill, it's not a good idea to do Tag Assault on a solo opponent since it gives them rage. Use regular tag combos to deplete their red health.

Played about 20 matches online last night. Ranked players were definitely seasoned players but i found some players in non ranked matches i could hang with. Haven't played since the first t t t but having tons if fun with a Jun and King team. Paul is still my go to but he seems toned down compared to the first. Still can't figure out how to customize, says there is nothing available to buy.

It's always weird when they talk in completely different languages and then seem to understand everyone perfectly.

It was even weirder hearing a lot of these characters speak Japanese in SFxTK.

After spending some time with the game yesterday the visuals are nowhere near as bad as people made them out to be. Texture resolution isn't great, but the face modeling is a huge step up from Tekken 6. The expressions on certain characters during hits is really good. And
Unknown's
face during the reveal is a testament to how good the models are.

I was playing sitting up close to my computer monitor too and the aliasing is not nearly as bad as Tekken 6. The resolution drops are noticeable when you're sitting up close to a monitor like that, though. Wondering how it'll look on my TV.

You randomly unlock custom items specific to the character you're playing, so I've heard.

May be a bit expensive but I've been using the Street Fighter 4 Tournament Edition Madcatz stick for three years now (maybe four, I can't remember the exact length but it was definitely over three years) and it's still going strong without any noticeable problems (it does have a Square Gate which I personally am not a fan of but I guess that's more because I still ride the gate as opposed to flicking it in that direction) so I would advise it without hesitation if you can afford to get it (because, as I've said, it was, and I believe still is, quite expensive).

So close, so close, so close!! 6pm tomorrow GMT+8(Australia) I can finally play this game. Going to be hours and hours spent in training deciding on a couple of teams. I like the looks of(and from playing a bit of Tekken 6) way too many characters.

Some of my favorites being;

Guys... I think the "hidden" character he's talking about are Michelle/Kuni/Angel/Ogre.

Also... I played this game for like 12 hours yesterday I think.... it's just gaming bliss.

I can't just pick one team and concentrate on them, there are so many fun characters to play with. I'm going with the following teams for now:

Heihachi/Kunimitsu
Armor King/Julia
Kazuya/Hwoarang

But so many other characters are fun and I haven't even tried the Ogres yet! I'm so so so sorry for you Europeans. I see guys like Doomshine post and my heart goes out to you. You are stronger man than I for having this kind of patience. *thumbs up*

A solo character is not going to be as versatile both offensively and defensively. We have not seen any sort of domination by solo characters in high level play.

I'm on sick leave until the end of the month so I've been looking forward to this to cheer me up a bit, thankfully people can stream now so that's helping.

Dr B has taken Dampierre's crown as the greatest 3D troll character of all time. I suppose from the lack of Violet he's a complete clone. Nice to see Miharu, Sebastien, and Skinny Bob (I was sort of surprised by this one) are different.

Can do. Have never seen Harada talking with other Japanese before, it's pretty entertaining.

The endings are waaay better than in T6. Though maybe it's just because I watched them on Youtube, but it seems like the CGI quality isn't quite as good as it was in T6. Maybe because there's more characters, and generally longer endings.

Just did all the Combot challenges. Is there a universal launcher button set as shown in the combot challenges or does everyone have different aerial launchers performed by pressing unique moves/buttons?

Picked up the game last night, only got to play it for a few minutes; did a chapter of the Fight Lab. It'd figure that when I put the game in, first I had to do a PS3 system update. Then when I got into the game, I had to install a patch for it. Then, after finally getting in, I had to sit through a mandatory install. Mind you, I started doing all of this at about 11:45. I should/could have had an hour to play. After all that shit, I had maybe 5-10 minutes (before I had to head to bed). This gen is *so* awesome.

As an aside, I registered for the World Tekken Federation via the website. Is there anything else I need to do to complete/pair it up with my game? I don't see settings in the profile anywhere for specifying PSN username or whatnot.

Sweet, my copy from Gamestop US arrived two days earlier than I could get it in Europe (on the down side they used UPS who just fucked me out of 30 quid)

Would people be interested in my entire archive? I have pretty much everything from Harada being introduced to the end. They show that video at the end - before that is just a cheery run through of some of the features. And IdolM@ster music.
