True, but if Japan goes DS heavy there will be more interesting games out on the DS from the developers there.

Holy fuck if this game has similar legs as others in the franchise, it will hit 1mil no sweat. That's pretty crazy for Japan.

Its hard to compare the N64/GC doubutsu no mori with the DS version. Back in 2000/2001 the game was a sleeper hit. Now, the game is well known so its sales will be more frontloaded. I'd expect shorter legs for the DS version, unless of course, droves and droves of new DS owners keeps picking it up like they did on its first week.

Considering most of the hit DS games have had great legs and the holiday season, I expect this to continue to sell. Hell, I mean we see Wario Ware Twisted and SM64DS in the top 30 charts sometimes. (Or 20, one of the extended ones.)

Top 10 all had over 40K in sales? Top 4 all had over 100K in sales? Thanksgiving truly is the start of the holiday shopping season.

HUGE sales for AC.

And btw. the DS Brain Trainings most likely also increased their sales to about 35k (Otona) / 20-25k (Yawaraka).

I have a feeling as a whole, Nintendo is going to lead a resurgance in video games in Japan within the next 4-5 years.

DS will lead the way, but Revolution will be more popular than the N64 or GameCube over there. And more third parties from Japan will end up supporting Nintendo.

01. NDS Animal Crossing - Nintendo - 325,466
02. GCN Naruto 4 - Tomy - 122,322
03. GBA Rockman EXE 6 Grayga - Capcom - 107,099

All three pillars present and accounted for.

Yep, you give it a few more weeks and I reckon the week ending the 25th Dec (first of the three really big weeks) could look something like:

1 Mario Kart 150,000
2 Animal Crossing 130,000
3 Mario Party 7 95,000
4 Mushi King 80,000
5 Brain Training 75,000
6 Rockman EXE 6 70,000
7 Brain Training Gentle 60,000

DS 350k+

What big games are out on PS2 over the next few weeks apart from RE4 (which will only do about 150k next week)?

Once they get a continent, that will give them a few extra men per turn. They'll then go through Alaska. Just give it time.

Awesome game :lol

Slime Mori Mori DS from Square-Enix will probably be no.1 this coming week, Mario Kart DS no.1 for the week following that.

Well, I reckon this week:

Resident Evil 4 170k
Slime Mori Mori 140k
Animal Crossing 110k

Following Week:

Mario Kart DS 290k
Mushi King 180k
Animal Crossing 75k

Can't see a lot coming close to the DS!! And they are all gonna have some long legs over the 3-4 weeks after that!!

Also, I can see the DS going insane as far as hardware this xmas, it's already almost on pace with the GBA and it has a much stronger holiday lineup that the GBA did:

Risk reference FTW! :lol

BTW, Did Animal Crossing sell more units in Japan, then Microsoft sell Xbox360's in the U.S.? Bomba?

Speaking of one country at a time, Was PSP numbers ever released for october in the USA?
Nope.

:(

sonycowboy couldn't reveal the numbers, but he did say it "wasn't particularly interesting either way." From that, I'd guess that PSP and DS (136K in October) were approximately equal in October. Also, he did specifically deny Heian-kyo's 149K number.

On topic ...

Awesome Animal Crossing numbers. :) Any serious chance of it hitting 1 million by end of the year? Hopefully, Nintendo can keep the shops stocked (expect a huge dropoff next week if only 400K were shipped initially and new stock isn't provided before the week's close).

SC III seems to have gotten off to a good start. If I remember correctly sales were about 120k for all 3 platforms in the first week.
Nope, it was about 150k first week for SC2 across platforms. It is a slight increase over SC2's PS2 debut (80k) but with these numbers I doubt Namco's going to meet their 300k target for the game (which SC2 passed).
