Damn, I just realized that I've got no way to watch the rest of the World Cup now since Univision.com will require a cable provider login now. :(

Is there any other place where I can watch it?

When did that change? I streamed a couple of games on mobile. Is something changing?

The most important research to come out of this World Cup:

“You are the only country in the world that has the pyramid upside-down,” he said in his post mortem on the US’s World Cup exit against Ghana. “You pay for having your kid play soccer because your goal is not that your kid becomes a professional soccer player – because your goal is that your kid gets a scholarship in a high school or in a college, which is completely opposite from the rest of the world.”

Truer words have never been spoken

Well, on the ads that play in between matches there was this notice stating that from the 4th on you'd have to register with your cable provider to stream the rest of the games.

That's bull. :\
If Zenmate doesn't work or get complicated (never heard of it), Hola is another option. And thanks to Wes' first post in the first WC OT, here is a list of broadcasters:

Hopefully MLS skips the relegation and "competition" nonsense in this article. Makes me wonder if he ever thought about whether having a couple superstar teams play each other a handful of times a year is good for competition.

MLS doesn't have enough teams to do a relegation system anyway. Besides, its not like it has worked so well for England.

There has never been a tradition of promotion and relegation in US pro sports and it's not necessary at all regarding the point of that article, which is young player development. MLS doesn't need relegation and promotion and it's silly to even consider it in American sports culture.

England's problems have little to nothing to do with our league fomat. All of the top football nations have tiered domestic league systems. Some of them have weird systems in place to decide who gets relegated and promoted, but tiers nonetheless

That's not the reason our national team fails.

Coaching at the grassroots level and from ages 8-14 is very poor, it'a basically a bunch of dads screaming over the legitimate coach so their kids to either hoof the ball into the box or get into the box. Until we silence parents at the side of the pitch and concentrate on skill and possession there will be no recovery for English players. The reason there is a lack of quality young English players in the EPL is because they don't exist. The FA has turned into a PR agency and the EPL doesn't really care about the national team because their remit is the commercial success of the EPL, which means strong club football with foreign stars to ensure four Champions League spots and European success on club level.

It's a failure by the FA, not the relegation and promotion system.

That has nothing to do with England's success, every major football country does that pretty much. Relegation system with different tier leagues is huge.

Makes teams compete twice as hard due to the consequences.

2nd division teams will fight their hearts out to make it to the top league, the teams in the first division will battle just as hard to stay up etc.

Football parents are the worst man, over here as well.
