Welcome to the Naruto manga thread! Due to there being no dedicated thread to this extremely popular series, I've decided to make one. The general manga thread often derails into discussion of other series. There are open spoilers for the manga beyond this point.

Naruto (ナル&#12488 is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Uzumaki Naruto, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and dreams to become the Hokage, the ninja in his village who is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all. The series is based on a one-shot manga by Kishimoto that was published in the August 1997 issue of Akamaru Jump. The series has been running since 1999, and is currently in what many expect to be the final story arc in the series.

Uchiha Obito- Former successor to the will of the Senju (the path of love), fallen to the curse of hatred (the curse of the Uchiha, courtesy of black Zetsu)

Uchiha Madara - Previous reincarnation of Indra, embodiment of the curse of hatred, and the cause of much of the conflict in the series (presumed deceased)

Hagoromo Otsosuki - The Sage of the Six Paths, son of Kaguya and progenitor of the ninja world

Kaguya Otsosuki - Current main villain, source of all chakra, reason for the ten tails' existence

Black Zetsu - "Son" of Kaguya, set the major conflicts of the series in motion; will of Kaguya

This has to be the final arc. Can't imagine any villain that could be more powerful than Kaguya.

Hopefully they do another timeskip and we can see what happened to everyone.

Edit: I'm glad One Piece and Naruto got their own separate threads. Can't believe it took this long though. There's definitely a lot of material to talk about (especially OP)

Thanks for the Thread!... I have to say.. Naruto is getting to the point where I can only read so much.. this new arc is ridiculous, Naruto and Sasuke are basically fighting God!. I really hope Mr.Kishimoto knows where this is going.. I really hope this is it for Naruto..I hope the Ending is Satisfying for everyone is all I ask.

A lot has definitely happened, with two major villains appearing after Madara. I thought he was the end all be all, but I was wrong. The direction it’s in now reminds me of DBZ of how only a handful of people were the only ones able to do anything.

I miss where Hashirama was the only person who could use Mokuton. No Hashirama faces in chests and shit like that. The elemental ninjutsu has also taken a back seat.

I still love the Chunnin Exam. In fact, that stretch from Chunnin Exam to the end of the Sasuke Retrieval mission was the series at its best.

Maybe a few things I wish would have happened differently (Kishi's refusal to do anything interesting with Sakura, the Sasuke Retrieval arc ending with zero casualities), but that's just me. Overall, that was good shounen.

IMO? Pein arc. A lot of people take issue with the ending, and I understand but before that it was a fun ride just about the entire time.

It needs like a time skip and fresh start where Naruto and Sasuke are stripped of their god powers. Naruto could easily one hit KO anyone right now except Kaguya. I mean he should have got ripped apart by that mountain thing in the latest chapter but he's just pretending to be trapped.

It feels so werid that the manga is finally coming to its conclusion. I discovered subbed anime through watching naruto when it first came on toonami lol. I got impatitent to see what happens next and found out I could watch episodes subbed online haha. I hope the ending is good. Still kinda sucks that madara got replaced. He was such a BA villain.

I dunno, I'd argue that until the end of the Kazekage rescue arc was the series' height. Hidan/Kakuzu and Pain were good, but I feel like the series had started to lose some "soul" by that point and didn't have the draw that it used to. Anything involving Itachi has always been good, however.

This current arc has gone kind of wild with its God themes and the reincarnation and whatnot, but I'm still interested in seeing Kaguya be defeated and I think she's a good final villain for the series.

All of part I. I loved the Pein arc and the end of the Kage Summit arc but that's probably it when it comes to part II.

I feel like the Pain arc was, and still is, the best arc in the series.

It was so beautifully written. Nothing in the series thus far has been able to match it.
