I had the same experience, i didn't see any difference when playing people on pc or ps4. Maybe they played with people with bad systems or it was just luck. Some players also said that the game was constantly doing rollbacks in most matches while others including me rarely had any rollbacks so i am not sure what is up.

No. It's entirely confirmation bias either way, or people being afraid of the supposedly ever present PC cheater (despite the first known cheaters/bots showing up on PS4.)

It's people just cutting off a large portion of the playerbase to play with for no good reason.

Until we get a good reason, I don't think there's much point turning off crossplay.

PC USF4 is absolutely more tainted by griefers and cheaters than any of the console versions, and it's the nature of the platform that there will be more opportunities to exploit or hack.

It will entirely depend on how vigilant Capcom is.

The issue I had with PC players on PS4 wasn't with cheaters or anything, but rather people who were trying to play on absolute potatoes and couldn't keep the game running at 60fps. Due to how the netcode works, if one player starts dropping frames both players need to drop frames to keep sync, so playing against a PC player on a bad setup is just a bad experience for both players.

To be fair, this affects both PC and PS4 players. Honestly, Capcom should not let you play online until you run a benchmark showing that your computer can run the game at 60fps consistently.

Nah, I have had shitty experience on USFIV on PC. So much so that I'd rather play the PS4 version online.

I'm sure plenty of people will buy the game on PS4. I have no problem with setting it to PS4 only and forgetting about it.

Didn't SFIV do exactly that? I'm sure it forced a benchmark before you could go online.

LOL, no it's not. Good job being ignorant about it, though. I posted about it during the beta, and many other PS4 players here experienced the same thing. Cross play from PS4 to PC almost always resulted in a noticeably worse experience.

Now if you want to provide some intelligent analysis, you might suggest that it affects PS4 to PC but not necessarily PC to PS4 (meaning the PC users don't see a difference because the netcode is adjusting to their machines, which don't have a static hardware profile).

Or you could just continue being silly.

You can cheat that bench moding config.txt I mean run bench at low setting get A score go to config.txt and change all values to high, thats hiw people ruin the experience on pc

Fantastic that Alex will grace us with his presence first. I truly had thought he'd be the last one, so this is a welcome surprise. Let's all welcome back the future winner of the third World Warrior championship!

I am wondering now though what this will mean for the cinematic story mode that will come in June. Didn't they say that only the first few DLC fighters will be included in there and am I misremembering this? If this is the case, I had thought that people like Guile, Juri and Urien especially would be coming first because of their relative higher importance potentially in this game's story (Alex, Ibuki and Balrog being of less importance at this stage in time I mean).

At least they'll all get their own short story mode with those stills, but it would be cool if Urien or Juri would play a part in Shadaloo's downfall and Illuminati's rise to power, or if either of them would be an additional boss to fight.

don't really care much about macros but during the last beta i had my connection setting at 5 only and i still got thrown into a fucking dump at times.

i would check my opponents' battle card and it turned out they were on PC. it went away after i switched setting. coincidence? idk but it's really annoying

Just because they're not playable doesn't mean they won't feature in story mode.

it wasn't bad but there was some wonky shit with the network going on at times. both ps4 and pc players i've had lag with but there were times where it seemed like the other guy on utorrent.

I read the thread earlier when it was only on page 1, and I swear that wasn't there. I thought we were all speculating if that was a legit source or not? Did it get updated or am I more tired than I thought today? o_O

Either way. Super stoked.

...I guess you're right actually. Hadn't thought about that. Though this would (ideally) mean that their models needs to be complete at least, especially if we can even fight them (hopefully).

Well, if Balrog is in a playable state and he's 3/6 months away then I gather the characters are being worked on in advance, so sky's the limit in terms of which DLC characters can turn up. I think it's safe to assume that all of them will turn up in some form or another.

I found a Tournament Edition Round 2 for $60 via Warehouse Deals earlier so I picked it up. It was in "acceptable" condition but no mention of damage so I'm just hoping it's missing the box or something haha.

I'm happy to see Alex coming so soon, but 100k FM is way too much to ask from most people. Gonna get ready for the grind because I want to powerbomb suckers as soon as possible.

Hmm. I wonder. Ya'll remember when the siliconera rumor had Urien & Alex as playable characters. That was a long time ago. Maybe they were working on them since then and both of them are done. What I'm trying to say is that could Urien be the next DLC character?

Nah, I think this was always the plan. They knew Alex was one of the most requested characters in recent years and figured putting him as DLC was the best way to go. Remember at NYCC when Ono 'realised' that people wanted Alex and that he'd "take this information back to the rest of the team at Capcom and see what they can do" and now Alex is the first DLC character? This was planned from the start, I guarantee it.
