I was thinking you would've done a drawing of a cucked Vegeta calming down Beerus. Ha, also captured Videl the same we feel about shortening dat hair.

Also no Gundam sketch?? Wow, how have the Gundam fallen.

Spent too much time Drawing Lisa Lisa and SS-Pigtails-J Videl ;-) Figured I'd save some freakout Vegeta for next week's cover, as long as I remember, ha.

Also, Gundam has something in there! It's just stealth! (And quickly drawn!)

Man it must really be stealth cuz I can't see it.

Once again, proving you are a great sketch artist.

Man you guys are really hating on Unicorn.

I can't wait to see your reactions to

EXTREME END OF SERIES SPOILERS

Newtype Beyond the Time sequence"wtf... what is a gundam pushing back an asteroid? Why is there an ugly spaceship blowing up? Why did that jet crash into a thing? Who are those voices? Why are they showing this? THIS DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!!!!"

Good times up ahead.

I randomly thought of Cowboy Bebop's "Speak Like a Child" episode in the shower today and, man, I love that episode a lot. Hoping Toonami airs HD Bebop at some point even though I own the blu ray.

Sounds like I can change my avatar now since we've had the hair change, it sounds.

...There really isn't much good art of Videl. It's a shame.

I'm enjoying it well enough, especially since I've seen only the first part of the original OVA version, and have a good idea of Banagher from Gundam Musou 3. Gundam Politics don't really bore or annoy me either...
... but it's always fun to have a whipping boy of a series on the block. Kinda tired of it being Naruto too, haha.

I have to say I'm kinda enjoying Hotaru in Naruto though, just because it's nice to have "Fuu" in another adventure on the block, ha.

I always love Sherry Linn's ending speech there. I actually remember the US version much more than the JP in this case... She's got great inflection in her voice that really makes it seem heartfelt, and the show itself handles the bits of silence from the crew perfectly.

Everytime we'd see an SAO or such try to do an emotional speech to the viewer, I always wish I could care half as much as I did for that scene.

Watching a once nice, innocent person speak to a future, jaded self, trying to preserve what they feel makes them who they are at the moment of recording... it's a nice moment that actually feels more relevant as one grows older, rather than like a childish lesson one grows out of, which is where most anime sticks it's audience-targeted motivational monologues.

Lol. Even in art form, Gohan is clueless.

It's sad, because I'm actually impressed with how well he taught things he just kinda... fell into as a kid. It's also nice, though, since he doesn't seem to lack in understanding... just maturity and experience.

I find the scene uniquely uplifting.

It's less "hate" & more "bored". Again, I blame the fact I have absolutely no background with Gundam, so it feels like most of the stuff I should be understand is just going over my head because I haven't been keeping up with the history, the terms, etc.

& as stated, we can comment on bad, but it's so much harder to comment on something that's boring without sounding repetitive.

Justice for All seems to be going more smoothly than the back end of Phoenix Wright did.

Much more interesting first case although adding profiles kinda mucks everything up more. Despite being a throwaway character, Wellington has probably my favorite design so far. I saw some discussion calling lost turnabout bad but I really liked it (it was a great break after going through the infernal slog that was Ashes).

I feel like 6 could've been one of my favorites if it wasn't for the prosecutor who didn't feel like he had any personality aside from "I am religious, may peace be with you after I defeat you in court". He kind of pails to Edgeworth, Blackquill, etc. but I guess I didn't mind him later on.

I do miss the fact certain characters from the previous 3 games haven't returned to be in 3D (where's Gumshoe, Capcom?!) since I really dig how they went the GGXrd route of "let's make 3D trying to emulate 2D" that can look very nice.

Having just read long spoiler explanations of what all this old gundam shit is that unicorn expects me to know has greatly improved my enjoyment of the series. Right now for me its frustrating since I really don't know what side of the conflict I'm suppose to root for since both the federation and the neo zeon's seem like huge ass holes.

that's the point. All sides suck. The Federation at best is lazy and complacent. At worst oppressive. Zeon is genocidal

The only faction that can be trusted is Londo Bell.

the joke in Kill la Kill that took me the longest to appreciate is that the series builds up to end on a profound message, like "sisterhood is great", or "wearing whatever you like is okay", or "nudity gives you power", or whatever

but no, the real ultimate message of KLK that the entire series builds up to is
"clothes are evil aliens"
, and that's all there is.

(prompted by a friend watching the show for the first time)

Things are looking grim for my Calc 3 exam

Fell asleep during Unicorn so I have to catch up on everything past that later in the week. Kind of feel like going back and working through some of the past gundam series too...

Aren't these federation a-holes we're currently following in Unicron technically part of Londo Bell?

I remember people saying Toriko ended better than people expected it to.

Although they also said the story somehow made the main character lame.

The manga's penultimate chapter was a fantastic send off to the series and honestly for the wrap up chapter might be one of the best I've seen in a shonen.

and it should've been

but noooooooo nobody watched it, like a bunch of lamers

It had all the materials to be but its weird premise, bad early manga art, and weak anime adaptation killed it. For me it too like 60ish chapters for the series to really click and thats far too long for a next big thing series.

Dat assassination classroom manga & anime were rather good.

It probably would've fit back on Adult Swim Action, but hard to tell if it'd fit on Toonami since it aims to be a comedy first with some decent action episodes later on.

....but I guess it has more action than GXP, so *shrugs*.

One of these days, I should check out the author's earlier work since I remember hearing about it via Jump Ultimate Stars and J-Stars Victory Vs. & had no idea it was by the same person.

I read a bunch of Supernatural Detective Neuro when I was younger until the translations ran out, and finding out that Assassination Classroom was by the same guy is what got me interested in it.

And by that I mean I went from "I guess I'll read this sometime" to "I gotta read this as soon as possible", because even if I didn't get to finish it, Neuro blew my mind, yo.

I need to finish Neuro someday, and read Assassination Classroom.
