I felt like the consensus for IBO was:

- Beginning was decent
- Middle was meh
- Bort was uugghhh
- Ending was good again with McGillis finally being interesting
- Plot/character's motivations were.....um....what were they again? Hair gel supply control?

I would've assumed my reign position if I didn't miss out on a week due to work....

Also, I just remembered in March, they're doing their 20th anniversary thing with bringing back an old style. Wonder if they'll announce what won or if we'll just have to wait & see.

I actually witnessed SAO back when it was first airing via CrunchyRoll. I was okay with SAO at the beginning, but then less okay with it after the first few episodes. Then it started feeling like a hate-watch by the 9th-or-so episode until the end of the first season, and I skipped out on the episode with the purple/pink jelly monsters. I don't know if I can make it...
Also saw a decent portion of the Kai Cell arc but hardly paid much attention all the while

Plz continue with SAO. One of the later episodes lead to a memorable night for ToonamiGAF reactions.

S2 was slightly better, with only the first arc awful with how it handled PTSD & "here's another harem member for kirito!" but got more tolerable with an arc of just "let's play the actual game" & the final arc almost redeeming the season....but then didn't.....

I've done all of those except count the trump cards...to be fair I usually had gxp muted in the background and watched youtube videos instead. Plus I'm dbz trash so I can watch any of it no problem.

Which scene was that? My account didn't get approved back when that and GXP was ending.

I do remember I used to be a part of IRC back when GXP was airing and I convinced everyone to stick through with it to the end because I already knew how infamous the last episode was. lol

I'm gonna have to somehow resist watching Zelda shit when that game comes out, since I won't be able to play it for a few weeks.

At least Nier should help.

I complain a lot about Gundam Unicorn but I think I enjoy it more than IBO. Nothing about either show really grabbed me, either character-wise or plot-wise or theme-wise, so all that's really left is robot fights in space, which Unicorn is better at.

I kinda like the movies for the original Mobile Suit Gundam that I've been watching but I think the story suffers from being stacked end-to-end like this, and from what I can gather it makes Amuro seem way more whiny than he would otherwise because you don't get quite the same feeling of him being exhausted.

For me, it was how trite
her death was
that did me in. I was already not sold on the character when they introduced her, but then they actually went there and I completely checked out from that point.

Amuro is whiny. But that's the point. He's supposed to be a whiny, antisocial slightly misogynistic dude. But he grows over the course of the franchise. He still definitely isn't whiny by cca, bit he's still a little anti social and slightly misogynistic

well, yeah, there's that, and he's supposed to be beaten down by being sent out so often, so what I mean is that because the series is condensed for a movie, he's not shown going out as often so his viewpoint isn't quite as understandable

Amazing to think less than 3 weeks away, a new Zelda & Nintendo system will be out. Though really wish they'd get around to announcing VC details & confirm if Gamecube is hitting or not.

Meanwhile, I'm still debating Bomberman since I want Nier Automata more & I feel like waiting for reactions/reviews for the game to hit first since first impressions weren't that good....though would be nice if Konami could re-release the GCN Bomberman games since they actually bothered to re-release Bomberman 64 on the VC, along with '94 recently.
