Whatever charges could potentially come out of this, treason won't be one of them. Russia is not officially an enemy of the US. Doesn't mean this isn't horrible shit, but treason is narrowly defined for a reason.

I think they'd tag Trump/his team with treason because I'm pretty sure this would also vault Russia up to "official enemy" levels

Official word coming straight from the desk of M. Daemon responded saying Comey is unavailable. Oh well.
Oh god, I want this to be real. "Sorry, a Mr. Daemon responded negatively to our request to speak with Director Comey."

With this blatant of a coverup maybe they should summarily be given the harshest punishment. Like if they're not going to be forthcoming then maybe a decision should just be made from the rank stench of suspicion emanating from this whole thing.

I'm just curious, what stops the willing members of the committee from renting a conference room in a hotel or something and meeting with Yates and broadcasting her testimony?

We're talking about US counterintelligence.

The Senate has already confirmed she will testify to them. Rather its public is to be seen but Nunes can only really interfere in the house investigation. You still have the Senate, IC and FBI investigations who all seem very serious in getting to the bottom of this.

Rep. Himes was told House Intel cmte will not be holding any meetings until Comey and Rogers come to testify. NO oversight on Intel issues

everything has been cleared off the House Intel Committee calendar, Himes said

Nunes is trying to force Comey to brief him on the nature and extent of Comey's investigation. To do this he is leveraging the entirety of House Intelligence oversight.

Yeah hopefully Comey refused and just lets the committee die, it'll continue elsewhere and continue to fuel the dumpster fire that is the Trump administration.

Wasn't there speculation that the house intelligence was being given separate information versus what the Senate was given?

Yes that is why we should wait to see what the Senate says. If they come out tomorrow the House will be in oh shit mode we need to get the bottom of this. Or they keep brushing it all off.

So he won't show his sources. Has he said he'd be sharing this supposedly super important intel anytime soon?

Reuters:

leaks are only bad when it looks bad for Republicans

Has he even shared the intelligence yet? Him not sharing sources isn't that odd if they're trying to avoid being identified (but coming from him it's obviously incredibly suspicious), but him not sharing the intelligence should be illegal.

What is Nunes trying to do? He has to realize he is losing republican support. Slowly, sure but it's happening.

"Ryan's not firing me so uhh umm fuck all you guys, fuck you! The committee is closed until further notice! You can't criticize me if I don't meet with you!"

Totally a winning strategy that he can keep up for the next two years..
