U.S. President Donald Trump will call for unity in the fight against radicalism in the Islamic world when he speaks in Saudi Arabia on Sunday, characterizing the effort as a "battle between good and evil," the Associated Press reported on Friday, citing a draft of his speech.

Trump will avoid the tough anti-Muslim language from his presidential campaign as well as mentions of democracy and human rights, according to the draft speech, which remains subject to revision, the AP reported.

“We are not here to lecture — to tell other peoples how to live, what to do or who to be. We are here instead to offer partnership in building a better future for us all,” the draft address reads, according to AP.

It also urges Arab and Muslim leaders to “drive out the terrorists from your places of worship,” the AP reported.

There was no immediate response from the White House to a request for a copy of the speech, which is expected to be delivered in Riyadh, the initial stop on Trump's first international trip since taking office in January.

Once again a whole lot of nothing. I don't even know why people get their hopes up. You're never getting what you want! You are not getting rid of him that easy!

Always uplifting when an agent for evil professes to stand for the side of good in a war being waged between good and evil.

Really hoping that Trump isn't assassinated during this week overseas, I have to see that asshole meltdown as he's impeached and imprisoned for the remainder of his life.

Please let him keep his Twitter in prison...

It will probably be the most sedate speech you've ever seen from Trump. He'll basically just read off the script the entire time, instead of his usual notes.

Fuck you Trump, i want you to be unhinged, especially in regard to saudi arabia. Fuck them to hell and back. Don't sell yourself away like this to <<<globalists>>>

First step is to build unity with other Middle Eastern nations, including Israel.

Ignore USA. They clearly don't give a shit about peace in the middle east. It's time for the middle east to unite. Fix this shit, the people have gone through more than enough.

Things would be very different for the people if the Middle East wasn't so divided.

He's probably not going to go off script. It'll be an alright and mostly boring speech. Some shit-heels on CNN and other outlets will practically orgasm over the fact they can praise Trump for something and for one shining moment we'll all pretend like he's not one of dumbest humans alive because he can read a speech from a prompter and not insult everyone in another country.

Not to defend Trump here (far from my intention), but from everything I've read, the Saudis don't consider the "thumbs up" gesture to be rude.

Do you even know what you are talking about?

stfu or make a point.

People in the middle east have suffered greatly over the last 30 years. Enough is enough. USA doesn't give a shit. It supports crazy invasions, famines and civil wars.

A united Middle East is for the best.

What point do you have to make?

The "Middle East" is not going to unite short of conquest, because there are actually deeper and more bitter divisions between many of the groups that exist within the different regions that comprise the greater geographical area than any of them have with external groups.

Any call for "unity" in the Middle East as a whole comes, de facto, with a call for genocide against one or more of those groups to accomplish it.

many of the richer M-E countries don't even care about intergrating refugees.

unity can't be serious when they are not even belevolant of helping neighboring refugees.

Religious sectarianism is the first major block in the road to progress in the current climate, I agree, especially for obsessives. But fuck them, they need to be shut down. It's well past time.

I don't have much hope for the current young generation due to all the conflict and wars between them...but it's not a lost cause - if there is peace - and people willing to put differences aside (media), it can be done.

I just worry there won't be any chance of peace until all the oil dries up, unless something brilliant happens.

I'd recommend to read a few things up, such as Middle Eastern conflict, Arabian culture and politics and then to realise how stupid your statement is.

I sent this to an Arabian friend and he laughed his ass off, saying that thumbs up is basically the Middle Eastern-version of showing you the middle finger.

What's up with the soles of the feet thing? Crossing a leg while reading a paper or book is something basically everyone I know does, male or female.

30 years? It's literally a millennial old conflict, it's not as easy as to say "we just need to get united"

If this would be any other man on that stage I'd say there's absolutely no way he'd get off script for this, it would be insane.

But it's Trump so I'm slightly looking forward to see him making an ass of himself.

The soles of someone's shoes are generally very dirty. There's not an excess of water for cleaning the streets, so it's often quite a bit worse in wasteland countries. This is a similar reason for why the left hand is considered rude to use: there's not as much water available for washing your hands, so people tend to devote their left hand to "dirty" activities like wiping their ass.

Yeah the left hand thing isn't exclusively mideast thing, it's antiquated form in the west as well for the same reason. The dirty shoes thing is weird though. Even my great grandfather who was an elitist prussian who was anal about EVERYTHING crossed his legs in doors. Granted he used house shoes when in doors after the days work, but just odd to see it considered rude for that reason.

I give it five minutes before he goes off script and starts talking about his yuge crowds or how he's the most mistreated person that's ever lived or blah blah blah.

It's the only one of the taboos that's really specific to the region, I think. The taboo about pointing with a single finger rather than an open hand, for example, also exists in a lot of Asian countries.

I really didn't find people to be that serious about it in Iraq or Afghanistan, but they seemed a little bit more serious about it in Kuwait and Qatar. I guess one thing that should be noted here is that "taboo" sounds a lot stronger than it is; aside from the taboo about criticizing Islam most of these things are just "good manners" and not something that's going to get you executed or ostracized.
