My god! Thank god Alexis is gone. This bitch doesn't know how to take an ounce of criticism. All he does is deflect, deflect, deflect. He called Peppermints outfit pedestrian when all of his outfits are pedestrian. He constantly feels like people should uplifting him when he criticized Nina for basically doing the same thing. And I'm screaming that even after Shea and Sasha explained why they picked him, he flipped it talking about "Oh I take it as a compliment because you guys realize I'm fierce competition." BYE! 👋🏾

It's a shame that Valentina left before she did....simply a true travesty. Alexis should have never made it this far....

What's funny to me is, she complained about no one telling her that her outfit was basic yet had the nerve to try and say her skirt could be bought at Saks.

The top 5 excluding the winner from season 8, one person from season 9, maybe someone from 10, and maybe someone from season 1 or 3.

So Trixie for sure, probably Ongina, whoever was the clear front runner for their season, but someone else stepped up the CUNT and took their place and they will win AS3 instead, and a few others.

Then finally Alexis Michelle/Derrick Berry ecause you need someone who made it way too far for god knows what reason.

If there is going to be an AS3 sooner than later I hope they get some earlier s1-4 firecrackers in there. I mean girls like Naomi Smalls and Pearl? Nah.

YES. I need Mariah Balenciaga to be there, I've grown to really like her from what I've seen on Youtube recently. She's really funny and smart and that mug is BEAT. She deserves a wider audience.

I need Gia Gunn and Ben Dela Creme back.
Fame, Pearl, Kortney etc so are boring and I'm pretty sure Laganja said she'd never do reality tv again. And she probably felt justified after seeing Adore savaged in AS2.

Serena would be iconic to be honest.

I have yet to see the season because of my lack of broadband, so I only have Reddit and this thread to follow gifs and small videos in awful quality, so I'm not sure if my assessment is a correct one but... Is the season boring already? Because people start to talk about the next All Stars when the season is done, or it's awful. I personally feel the Drag Race format has run its course or is very close to do so, like 2 more seasons, tops, so if it wants to continue to grow it has to reinvent itself in a major way, upend the mini-challenge/maxi-challenge/lipsync battle standard, it has to understand how much this show has changed drag, and how for queens now it's only important to appear in it, so they lack... passion to win, for lack of a better word. I base this in how the general opinion is that the lipsyncs are lackluster and queens aren't really putting the effort into the format, this includes Valentina's elimination.

I mean, the grand prize for winning sure seems to have gotten less desirable. I remember when it was shown off at the start of every episode and it seemed decent but I honestly couldn't say what the prize has been the last two or three main seasons. Is it just cash now?

I don't think the Drag Race formula is stale. In my honest opinion, Drag Race is one of the best reality competition shows on tv (if not THE best), and if America's Next Top Model and Survivor can last as long as they have, I don't see why Drag Race can't.

Drag Race however, has three major problems I've noticed.

1) Ru hates seeing her girls fight. Ru, get the fuck over it. In one of the earlier episodes of her podcast, Ru admitted that she didn't like seeing the girls get super catty. She hated all the fighting in season 4. Well, sorry Ru, but tension makes great TV, and you scrubbing the show of all tension makes the show boring. Not to mention incredibly dishonest. This isn't SUPPOSED to be RuPaul's Best Friend Race. Nobody wants to watch that.

2) Ditch the Instagram queens. I'm sorry, and I'm sure they have their fanbases, but these girls aren't drag queens. A NECESSARY component of drag is the ability to perform. And if all you can do is take a cute photo, you aren't doing drag. You're cross-dressing. These insta-queens are boring. Bring us some girls who know how to pop it for some tips.

3) Also, get girls who aren't so concerned about fan perception. The girls are too aware.

I honestly don't know if these ever make it to the east coast (you're still in NYC, yes?)
The last two we went to only performed around Cali, then in Portland and Seattle. They're hilarious and endearingly low-budget if you do get the opportunity, though. Peaches is good about hiring on a lot of local queens in supporting roles instead of touring with a full cast, which is also nice.

The first season was like 25 grand? Alaska won much more than that just by lipsyncs in AS2.

Oh absolutely. It's just that it's impossible to not hold Drag Race to a different standard because reality TV is overall just awful, awful TV that grinds it's contestants like meat. Drag Race is the exception, even when frictions and bitterness have arise. Other realities only get worse in every way, while Drag Race is the only reality show where the first contestant ever eliminated gets a mention in every season, that says a lot about what kind of show it is.

But unlike other reality shows Drag Race has completely changed its own scene, so it becomes predictable in a way, which in the long run could be terrible, that's why I absolutely agree with you on your 1st point, drama and cattiness not only make good TV, it bolsters creativity, conflict is the catalyst to art, specially something like drag. I do disagree about the insta queens though, even when they are not my favorites they are popular, and they show should be aknowledged.
