AS3 felt like too much of a s5 reunion. It was good, but there are a lot of talented queens that could have made it on the show.

I'd like to see ChiChi Devayne, Trinity K. Bonet, and Dela/Thorgy comeback at least.

Bendela will never go back to RuPauls Drag Race, that's what she said in one interview.

"You know what doesn't make sense? You not being on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. I just watched the first episode. Why aren't you on there? Did they ask you?"

"Take another look. Those TV producers are willing to ruin friendships, professional relationships, feelings of self-worth—all for some cheap entertainment. You won't remember the details of that episode in a week. Those queens may have to work through that experience for years. I'm grateful for the experience I had [on season six of RuPaul's Drag Race], but I've already been through hell in my new show—I don't need to go through it on theirs."

I don't blame her, after what they did to Adore... that was just horrible.

What did they do to Adore? She came back to the show acting like being critiqued on the runway was a new thing.

They didn't show everything, it was brutal, especially Raven Simone was terrible to her. And all the other queens have showed support to Adore.

Man I wonder how a non-Shea win would affect future seasons. It'll mean that winning challenges won't matter anymore, as long as you survive to the top 4 and have good lip sync skills. The transition from cut-threat competition to likability contest will be complete. Might as well add text voting in season 10. :/

I dunno...

On one hand, it sucks if Shea doesn't win because based on performance she deserves to, hands down.

But, I do like that Ru is putting a bit more importance on actual lip syncing and slaying a stage, because the lip syncs this season were awful. Even the good ones were middling compared to past seasons.

But this just makes me wonder how on Earth Shea loses a lip-sync to any of these girls.

So, my thoughts on the finale and what may be to come: (potential spoilers)

So if Shea does lose and Sasha wins, I think I know why, and it was something that was bugging me all season but that I waved off cause Shea was so strong in challenges.

Shea has the "I'm Naomi Smalls" branding problem. She hasn't defined herself, even while dominating most of the season. Trinity is the "tuck", the Pageant girl. Sasha is the hyper-intellectual one. Peppermint is... well, she's good at hosting and lip syncs and a nice person. But Shea's been a branding void - a great all-rounder, but not someone who's got a niche where you can say "I'd expect ___" at a Shea show. You can't sum her up in a single word easily, and that's a problem on a show where you're trying to launch your brand.

Really? Naomi Smalls had a "brand" that was being a model. Shea fucking slays everything, it's not her fault she can sing, act, do comedy, dance, etc. I know it's weird, but if her brand is to slay everything, so be it. It's like Alaska's AS2 "why you should win" speech: you came, you slayed every challenge, accumulated the most points and you deserve the crown.

To fucking Sasha Velour no less. I love Sasha and she does a mean lipsync, but it's Shea Coulee we're Tallin about.

Well there is more to a lip sync than great dancing... by all accounts Sasha unquestionably won here lip sync against Shea so lol.

I love Sasha, but most of her lipsyncs are same-ish, with her doing her thing with her hands and overdoing with her face. Still, she might still sell her lipsync to me tonight and outperform Shea, I just don't think it's fair that she wins even if she does a better job than Shea.

So anyone know why they went back to the old school reunion format? I really liked it, but it was just unexpected to see them return to it after the big stage show finales. (I'm assuming the crowning will still be a big, live, finale show. I wonder what they'll fill it with though. )

Also it's so weird to see how drastically the tone was shifted from sisterhood to drama.

As for the winner, it's either Shae or Trinity. Can't decide.

They filmed it after the finale, presumably to save time/money w/ gathering everyone in one place. Great decision though.

Shame about dela. She doesn't need a redemption or anything since she actually looked really good on her season, but I think she's being a little over sensitive. This is a competition where queens come to be judged; they need to expect some critiques and harsh comments. I'm glad she recognizes that she's not cut out for that kind of scrutiny, but I still don't think she should hate on the game like that considering how much good it has done for her career.

As for Adore, I have a hard time feeling bad for her considering how much she was progress she made during her first run on the show. Regardless of all the emotional problems she had, she went on to that AS2 runway looking worse than she did at the end of S6. I feel bad that she was hurt, but were the judges really wrong?

Anyway, Shea losing would be monumental since it would be the first time in the history of the show that the queen with the most wins didn't take home the crown. I think it's great that ru is reminding the queens of how important lipsyncs are, but the winner should really be awarded based on merit and not a single performance.

Ok

If Peppermint wins because of that last minute stunt, I'll be pissed

Because Trinity fucking SLAYED that from beginning to end. Peppermint was low energy until the 2-in-1

PEPPERMINT, YES BITCH, TWIRL AND SNATCH!!

Lol Trinity was moving as much as she could to not show her sloppy lip sync. Peppermint didnt do much movement but she certainly did better at lip syncing but she was pretty low energy.

They didnt show all of it. Even Katya said it was bullying and Alaska's said she might have left too if she were in her shoes. Also both Adore and Laganja were PISSED at what they were put through on their season which lead Laganja to claim she'd never do reality tv again.
