Did you see the marketing for that game? Not saying I hated it, but it came no where close to what they were hyping it up to be. Same with 2 and the same with reach.

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. The one thing that would've sealed the deal if they had that scene in the "Believe" somewhere (or something like it) in the campaign.

I think we'll be seeing 5 player factions, which will play into the metagame surrounding the core game play. Their names all sound distinctly human (New monarchs, 7 seraphs, Future War Cult, Dead Orbit, and... I can't remember the last).
How bungie manages to shape player interaction and behavior will be the key to success or failure for destiny IMO. There's a lot of fertile game design ground that isn't being explored there. If Bungie does it right, they can make something really compelling, even without beefy new hardware to play on.

Probably still is. I didn't think anything of it at the time. I don't follow destiny and the video wasnt that special. It might've only been a preview, I don't know. It was 5 minutes, some stuff about iPhone, how great multiplayer is at extending gameplay, a bunch of animated concept art (the part I thought was cool until I learned there was some "fan" video with the same stuff. Hence I posted it in response to stills of the same art) and few small gameplay clips. No real info or anything

If it was on xbox live, someone surely recorded it and maybe uploaded it somewhere.
It was an fps. Some stuff about guilds and ships but I don't really remember
I don't care. Like I said, maybe it was a preview for the vidoc. I have no idea what the typical halo vidoc is like because I don't play them

If it's true, it sounds like the worst ViDoc ever. Not the Bungie I know.
Bungie is know for it's dense, full of info ViDocs. Based on the tweets and chatter going around at the moment from the press that were at the event and have seen the ViDoc already. It's safe to say there was a lot of information and it seemed pretty special. So I just have my doubts when someone claims to have seen it and says the opposite.
Guess we'll have to wait and see. Not long now.

Regarding bungie.net issues, especially performance, please let us know, ideally in the Support forum section on the site. Tag it bnetbugs or feedback and I'll make sure it gets filed. The site is very much something that will be regularly iterated on, just like bungie.net was before our post Halo darkness.

Perhaps a press video? Some of the press have been saying on Twitter they've put together huuuuge articles for Destiny primed for 10AM. How could a brief 5 minute video with concept art do that? I don't think we're seeing the whole picture here...
I thought he meant it was ban worthy to not believe what the guy said just because he has been on GAF for a long time.

Call me crazy but they are not going to bring press up there for just a half assed vidoc. That's not Bungies way. I think we'll see some decent gameplay without a doubt.

The triangle thing seems like the sleek alien types maybe the travelers / and the circle thingy seems like the more brutish alien or maybe even human faction.

So wait, are we sure this is an MMO? I know everything in the past has pointed to it being an MMO but I cant help but wonder if that has changed somehow. Why would any company release an MMO then skip the only platform that supports MMO's??

This actually lines up rather well with the poem stuff we've been seeing in the ARG thread. If that moon of Saturn does fly-by's of multiple planets.. then the poems are from the perspective of The Traveler.
No one knows for sure but that it is FPS and features story, and has co-operative and competitive modes.

I think the plan is to have several games under the Destiny IP. One will be a single player game and a separate MMO is also being worked on.
