Chespin continues to be terribad. Fennekin is heading downhill. Thankfully, Froakie just matures with age, like a fine wine.

Ah read that as Flying resists Stealth Rock and thought of the possibilities.

I'm gonna say a very unpopular opinion.

I think Froakie's evolution is easily the worst-looking one of the three.

That is all.

The success of others absolutely infuriates me.
Mewtwo X is so ugly.

Anyway, I hope I can wear yoga pants.

EDIT: If you don't like Chespin you're a bad person and I want nothing to do with you so there.

Frogadier is actually the most boring looking out of the three. Braixen is fabulous and Quilladin is cute as fuck. #TeamFennekin&Chespin

But that would make Grass Pokemon a very effective counter to spore now as well... right? Like I say, very layman concerning that aspect of the fandom.

Probably not really that useful. Spore's not really that common, only prevalent OU user is Breloom, and I doubt people will start carrying grass Pokemon, which as a rule of thumb suffer too much from being of such a bad type to be useful, just to counter Breloom.

And yet the champion this year had a Amoonguss with spore no? (And pretty much won BECAUSE of him?)

Amaura is ice/rock, i.e. double weak to steel & fighting. Instant bottom tier?

Oh and fairy resists bug, since apparently being the second most resisted type isn't bad enough.

In VGC spore is used pretty heavily.

Braixen reminds me of Renamon pictures from /vp/
shudders
and Qulladin is just... ugly as sin. I mean damn, is Quilladin ugly.

Also I'm noticing a weird correlation between people who like RBY/GSC designs the most going Froakie and those who liked Gen 4/5 going either Fennekin or Chespin.

Spore is pretty big in double battles with Amoongus being another common user.

Correct me if I'm just repeating old shit, but doesn't one of Team Flare'd leaders being called Xerosic imply Y will get it's own seperate team?

That is a nice theory, but while I prefer Quilladin and Braixen, I like Gen I and IV/V the most.

Gen V is a rollercoaster for me - lots to love, lots to hate. My deepest contempt is reserved for Gen IV, though.

Uhhh, sleep status is kind of really strong, to the point that people nerf it via sleep clause (only allowed to put 1 opposing poké to sleep, excluding rest-induced sleep), making a spore nerf / grass-type buff, a kinda big deal.

Exactly. Eh, how I absolutely LOVE putting others to sleep... my friends hate me for that. :p

I agree wholeheartedly. I love the Gen V designs but I am still not sure if I like or dislike the Gen V games.

This doesn't prevent grass Pokemon being put to sleep; just prevents them being affected by Spore / Sleep Powder. In singles, the only frequently used Pokemon which uses Spore is Breloom, and the only one to use Sleep Powder is Venusaur (and it's fairly generous to say Venusaur is used frequently). Neither of these Pokemon are such gigantic threats that people will start using more grass Pokemon in order to deal with them (particularly as most grass Pokemon wouldn't deal with them particularly effectively anyway). For singles play, it's not really much of a big deal at all.

At others have pointed out, it's more important for doubles, but I don't play doubles so w/e.

Wait the Braixen they showed before WASN'T the female version? :/

Wait the Blastoise they have been showing for more than a decade WASN'T the male version? :/

Seriously, just deal with Braixen's feminine design, people. Most starters look manly, there is nothing wrong with one looking feminine once in a while.

Ah, no, I meant the designs. Approximately a half of Gen V Pokemon designs I love, the other half I hate. There is no middle-ground; it's the Marmite gen.

You shouldn't downplay its importance just because it doesn't directly effect you.
