So what time exactly are the Cross Assault finals? I don't see it on the schedule.

Is Cross Assault finals being streamed?

It definitely will be streamed, but I haven't heard (or forgot) details about when exactly.
USD: Kurosu (sp?) is also attending. He won the JP qualifier for UMvC3, supposedly has secret Rocket Raccon tech on deck, and if I'm not mistaken was the guy who discovered the DHC glitch.

I mentioned him (very briefly) the OP, though in the player list I used Ageo Joe, since that's the alias I've seen him using lately. I guess there's no harm in an "aka" though.

Man I really should have went this year. I only live an hour away, but school is being a real pain in the ass right now. Looks like I'll be kicking it with the stream monsters :(

Just a correction, you forgot to add "Tekken Tag Tournament 2" in the games portion ;)

Excited to see Ao against KOR, Anakin, and Fighting GM in Tekken 6 :)

Strange how all the Japanese competition are from games other than SF.

Thanks, didn't exactly proofread.

While we wait for tomorrow, anybody interested in international SF4 should check out the three episodes of LG Cup finals that have aired so far on Korean TV. Quite a big difference from the content we're used to seeing. Over the top player entrances, ring girls, and a DJ MC.

Episode 1 (Justin Wong vs MLizard, Poongko vs Fuudo)

Episode 2 (Mike Ross vs Infiltration, Daigo vs KimLegend)

Episode 3 aired today (Justin Wong vs Poongko, Daigo vs Infiltration)

Thank you, I always enjoy watching Poongko fighting.

That's because the Capcom's Official SSF4AE Ver.2012 National Tournament is held on the 3rd, in Tokyo.

So hype. I expect marvel and SF4:AE2012 tops to be amazing. The level of play has skyrocketed in both those games since the last Final Round.

Shit, I'm going to miss Sunday because me and my friends are going to get super drunk and play through Asura's Wrath. But Saturday will be hype.

Also slightly OT but does anyone know what ETR did last night to get in "trouble?"

It's related to the Cross Assault controversy and the surrounding issues. Check the last several pages of this thread.

http://www.levelup-series.com/statement-regarding-wednesday-night-fights/

ETR and Marn (and others) were making inappropriate jokes about the Cross Assault situation. Level|Up responded by banning them from commentary.

Well, looks like this is the end of stream commentary from the likes Rush Hour and Keth Sillian/Yipes.
It's been fun.

But I guess it'll help me get back into society if I'm watching less streams.
Maybe I'll actually play games.

Yes.
It has been scientifically proven that the only way possible to be funny during a match commentary is to be a bigot of some kind.

Well, the fun part about stuff like Big Two was all the stupidity.
But I guess if you just want in depth analysis on Sanford vs Dieminion take 20, that's cool too.

It's bad enough that MarlinPie isn't going to be in attendance at Final Round, now you're telling me that the thread is going to do a recursive loop back to Crossgate on every off moment? :/

Edit: Just to be clear, I do agree that commentary that doesn't step over any boundaries and aren't doing so at the expense of someone else's experience or comfort is optimal.

Don't worry, as soon as Final Round starts people would forget all about it.

I hope :(

A bit inevitable unless some mod comes and tell people to cut it out. I know I can't keep quiet if someone is saying that without some mix of bigotry, the fun is over.

Are you being serious?

Yes?
Just check out some of the Big Two threads, everyone always got hype when Rush Hour got on stream, and by grand finals, everyone left/was ready to leave (or moved onto WNF).

For something like Evo or Canada Cup that's not at all a problem, since there's a range of players with great high level play.
That's not to discredit Sanford and Dieminion and their play at all, but after watching it happen every week, it's not that fun anymore.

Final Round will probably be fun, but next Big Two? Dunno.
Anyways, yeah, this isn't the place for this junk, my bad.
