Homeland Security Fail
Episodes are up!

This Emmy-winning original thriller series stars Golden Globe winner Kevin Spacey as ruthless, cunning Congressman Francis Underwood, who will stop at nothing to conquer the halls of power in Washington D.C. His secret weapon: his gorgeous, ambitious, and equally conniving wife Claire (Golden Globe winner Robin Wright).

Release date: Season three will be available to stream on February 27. All the episodes will be up at once and available throughout the different Netflix regions (with the possible exception of Germany).

Spoilers: Up until March 13th, you are to spoiler tag your post/discussions. While also labeling your post with the episode you are discussing (i.e. episode 3:
I can't believe blah blah blah.
)

After the two weeks are up, you are able to discuss anything and everything without the use of spoiler tags.

So hyped for this season. This and Better Call Saul are great starts to this year.

Also, does the spoiler tag apply to Season 1 and 2 discussion or is it not allowed at all in this thread?

It seems like the leak was likely the review accounts going live site-wide instead of only to the reviewers- the EW review went live a day or two ago.

It's nothing like the UK series at this point.

Really? I saw a lot of discussion on the leak thread where people were saying "x event from the uk series must have happened" and stuff like that.

Either way I'm hyped.

IMO it was a fake leak for marketing. Otherwise why only release 10 of the 13 episodes? I would believe your theory if all of the episodes were there though.

The BBFC site has a listing of the directors and running times for all the episodes. There are also rating guidelines for each episode, if anyone is curious which ones have "strong sex" or "strong sexual images" or whatever. *cough*

Ep 1: John David Coles (58m 30s)
Ep 2: John David Coles (54m 24s)
Ep 3: Tucker Gates (52m 29s)
Ep 4: Tucker Gates (47m 11s)
Ep 5: James Foley (51m 51s)
Ep 6: James Foley (53m 43s)
Ep 7: John Dahl (52m 49s)
Ep 8: John Dahl (43m 41s)
Ep 9: Robin Wright (51m 15s)
Ep 10: Agnieszka Holland (56m 40s)
Ep 11: Unknown (52m 22s)
Ep 12: Robin Wright (49m 6s)
Ep 13: James Foley (57m 28s)

There is no director listed for episode 11, but it should be Agnieszka Holland since he was due to direct two episodes.

Most likely -- looks like they cross boarded every episode except 9, 12, and 13. Probably not 9 and 12 so Robin could have enough time to prepare.

Thanks for putting the thread together, GK86. Looks great!

Glad I was able to deliver! :)

Good question. I have no idea how this has been handled in the past. Maybe Cornballer can weigh in.

Edit - He already beat me to the punch.

Can't wait. I think I'm going to try watching it all in a weekend instead of spreading it out a week or so like I usually do.

For good measure, I'll keep this hidden.

I'm hoping this season we'll get to see more of Lucas despite him in prison, if somehow the details of Zoe's death leaks out. I'm also predicting Stamper's still alive, albeit in critical condition. Then possibly the beginning of the downfall with Claire and Frank with the reporters, Rachel, themselves, and Petrov.

that's what i'm hoping... it was my favorite story arc of he show. seeing it swept under the rug in S2 sucked but i'm sure they only did that to come back to it later

Absolutely, I felt that story arc was underplayed in Season 2 just to have a battle with Frank and Tusk with having turmoil with Garrett. Not that that arc was terrible, just wish it had more time to develop or more spotlight on it. That and how quickly Zoe was killed off really disappointed me.

bitch I'm taking calls.
I was able to scroll to and watch the last 5 minutes of the last episode during the leak before it was pulled.

Here is what happens:

I was honestly hoping Zoe would be the ruin of Frank.

Caught the first half of the first episode when it leaked. Watching it was a mistake. The wait is killer.

Thanks for the OT.

I thought season 3 was going to be the last season but I haven't heard much on that. Really like the show, just hope it doesn't draw out too long.

Same. I would prefer it wrap up sooner rather than later but also think since there hasn't been a "the final season" type of fanfare that they might drag it out to next year.

Would've been nice to see Jodie Foster back. Oh well. Wright was pretty competent for a first-timer, as far as I saw based on her episode last season.

I can't wait to find out what happens with Doug. I like Doug. I hope he's ok :(
I like Stamper too but damn he was so dumb. First visiting the casino and then what happened at the end of last season. I was literally yelling at the screen with how foolish he was being. He definitely lost control of the Rachel situation a long time ago and if anything just made it worse by his constant presence.

In my veins, please.

Finally got caught up recently and have been kicking myself for putting it off for so long.

Yes, he lost control for sure and seemed about naive or blind to how the whole Rachel thing would play out.

+1 to hoping Doug's not dead. Loved his character even though he was an idiot with everything involving Rachel
