Ya know, the reason why tentacles became more common place in porn is because of the fact it means less censoring for the company, which saves time & money, not to mention having to pause each frame to censor an object moving in & out when you can just focus on the entrance.

I try to be understanding of both sides & why someone might prefer one over the other, but kind of hate it when people feel like they have to take a side of anything (be it console wars, anime sub or dub, etc.) & act like it's enlisting to the army & YOU WILL DEFEND THAT SIDE & IT WILL BE THE HILL YOU WILL DIE ON BECAUSE I'D RATHER STAY CLOSED-MINDED.

Like come on, how many people REALLY discovered DBZ via the subbed version? It's like Cowboy Bebop, one of those franchises where it's just so associated with its dub.

If you like the subbed version, nothing wrong with that, but jesus, don't act holier than thou just because.

At least with that, I understand since you're comparing English voice actors & it's what people grew up with. Heck, I've heard some fans are in the middle, where certain voices they prefer from Funimation but others from Ocean, which nothing wrong with that, it shows you're able to view both sides from a logical & critical viewpoint.

Seriously, it's just as bad when my co-worker would get up in arms when I bought a game for PS3/4 over Wii/U & be all "WHY DIDN'T YOU GET IT ON NINTENDO?!", like holy hell, not everyone does things the way you do it, why is that so hard to accept.

I actually see how that comparison works.

I get Toriyama wanting to make Goku "selfish" but I feel like the regression has highlighted just how static of a character Goku is compared to the rest of the cast. Gohan, Trunks, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krilliin, Tien; they all had arcs and grew as characters. I feel like Goku comes off as a weaker protagonist as a result.

Like, there was at least some rationale for some of Goku's action during the Cell Saga. Goku was legitimately weaker than Cell and Gohan was literally the only one strong enough to beat him. Had Goku actually been written out of the series like he was supposed to there, it would've made more sense.

But Toriyama repeating these type of things in the Buu Saga and beyond just makes it worse.

That was back when Ging was still mysterious. By the time the 2011 anime was rolling out we already knew full well he was a fucking piece of shit.

I do think that the Bad Dad Goku argument is a little exaggerated, but his faults seem unintentionally written where Ging, from what I've seen of the anime, is more purposefully a cruddy father.
