Wow, its amazing how much they can afford to have so many playable female characters
Considering all the talk about the game so far, with word of a ton of female playable characters, Aonuma admitting that he himself was surprised and impressed by some of the characters they pulled, and the "Warriors" style of having a massive and often-unusual variety of weapon types between characters, I'm honestly not all that surprised that Agitha is one of those more off-the-wall character choices. I recall her being pretty popular and memorable when she first appeared, and it would be pretty easy to build an impressive set of bug-themed attacks for her to use.
I will be more shocked if/when they announce Error as a playable character. Please, Koei.

Never got the opportunity to beat Twilight Princess since my brother broke his Wii while I was still on the first dungeon, but I like the design of the character.
