Amazon/Target/Wal-Mart/BB/Gamestop PS4 Black Friday Bundles are up $399.99 GTA V-TLOU

PS4 reclaiming the #1 spot and #19 spots supports the notion that Sony was smart to not drop the price regardless of short-term sales trends.

I was just thinking the same thing. They may or may not lose this month but they are going to be laughing to the bank by the time November is over.

Another thing I noticed as far as current-gen exclusives..... Smash and Infamous:SS are in the top 20.

Looks like it is now a question of by how much MS will win.

Also, how much will it have to win by for Sony to react? 300k? 500k?

Exciting times ahead. I predicted MS up by 150k. I will stand by that for now.

The most impressive conclusion from this Black Friday Bonanza is PS4 selling tremendous numbers despite the competition offering significantly more at a much lower price point.

Sony will take a beating for a few months, but if that beating equates to massve profits, exclusives, a more stable first party revenue stream; it would be the wisest decision going forward.

In any case, Microsoft has this month locked. Target clerk said they ordered more Xbox One's than PS4 in Renton, WA. Based on that alone, Microsoft has candy to spare in all the retail outlets.

Id be really surprised if they aren't within at lease 200k of each other.

Oh and fuck the haters, I saw THREE people buy Destiny. I've never played it, but the game still has some crazy mind share.

Are the ps4 @ 329 from ebay (newegg) already sold out?

Those went fast.

OT: We have a full generation ahead of us. this is why competition is good. Prices drop, units sell, competitors react. As BF is in a high selling month, it's not the end all be all determining factor as to who wins the console war. Whether MS, Nintendo or Sony comes out ahead all it means is that their sales plan for this month worked. We still have many, many months of this gen with a buttload of factors. We have, of course, games. Exclusive and cross gen. We also have the peripherals. I personally feel that MS's major "add-on" was Kinect and that did not go so well. Sony still has project Morpheus. It could go either way but I sense it is some good tech. In Nov of 2016, we will all be sitting here playing armchair analyst and people will be saying one company is doomed or the other one is. No one, at that time, will even remember the NPD total for Nov 2014.

Bottom line: the carnage is fun to watch as it unfolds in the NPD threads for sure. It's fun to root for your team and speculate and call out made up numbers and see salt form in the fingers of posters but the reality is we should all want three companies to do well. Gaming for some is a hobby but for others (myself) it's a lifestyle. I don't go out drinking, I don't play sports and I don't like traveling so gaming is what I do in my time not at work and writing checks for my bills. I most likely will never buy an Xbox One but I hope it doesn't tank for the simple fact I need them to sell so Sony brings their A game and keeps the good games and good deals coming.

I think anyone still doubting should accept XBO is gonna win handily this month. When you're gettin' shit for $329 with two games and a gift card, that makes up for the relative limitations of the system in relation to PS4. It's priced appropriately. It's the value the market wanted for a system like XBO.
Yup Sony can't or don't want to compete with this, MS don't mind to lose money in order to dominate the holidays and gain market share, Sony are in a position that can afford to lose this month (and maybe next month as well) and stay profitable, considering the overall brand status, they need all the money they could get out of PlayStation, they just can't afford losing there as well.

I know it's very early to call but i think eventually MS will gain their lead in the US and maybe UK as well if they keep this very aggressive pricing, Sony will still lead worldwide and at the end will make more money and stay profitable for the entire gen.

Kinda crazy to see how Sony didn't budge on their $399 price for Black Friday. Now we just wait to see how it turned out for them. If they manage to move everything they ship this holiday season even without a price cut they can be happy win or lose Nov-Dec.

Agreed. In the end, every one wins. Microsoft will have gained that precious market share on the home turf, Sony will have profitted tremendously, and people who haven't shopped at Target in nearly a decade- will finally know the store exists.

Got back from my Target about 3 hours ago only Xbox Ones left were 4 $429 models. There were still a good amount of PS4 bundles. For the average customer the $329 + 2 games is the better deal compared to the $399 + 2 games.

$329 + 2 games + $50 Gift card

Every PS4 BF bundle will sell out even if they don't go as fast. You probably won't be able to walk into a retailer on Monday and grab either bundle. But this shows that Xbox should have been considerably cheaper from the start.

6 hours in and that shit is still there....the crap load of xboxs were gone within the first 15 minutes

Yeah Sony really messed up with this bundle, two remasters and didn't lower the price. Speaks volume that the two best games they could bundle were remasters, really poor year for software from Sony.

My Target was a similar story, but in Sony's defense, Target had the BEST Xbox One bundle you could buy. As more stores sell out of this bundle, you'll see people getting hungrier and this won't be around.

This is the way I feel... if you are brave enough to go out on Black Friday then you are looking for a good deal. The $400 PS4 with GTA and Last of Us is a solid deal but Xbox One at $329 with a recently released major game just feels like more of a "Black Friday" deal.

Yes i know....i said screw the line and grabbed my little brothers from the Microsoft store....target was a blood bath lol

I did nab my 2ds though late in the game

The bundle does carry longevity.....as the xbox one is a black Friday only thing. Once that price goes back to $349.99 i think ps4 will start kicking again

If both sell out it doesn't matter who did it first. Its early to read some definitive conclusions going around here.

+1 PS4 bundle sale for me

Never played TLoU on PS3, and only played GTA to the first heist, so I'm in for a treat. Mine came with a $10 PSN voucher in the box too.

Make sure you claim it (even if you don't spend it) - it has an expiration date. Launch PS4 code was like 4-5 months if I recall.

Xbone had a $50 gc.

Makes up for the crappy pack in game.

I wonder why they didn't already throw in something like infamous SS. Just some experience in the box you can't get anywhere else.

Probably more price than anything. If the PS4 was $329 you can bet those would've moved.

And yet this bundle is topping Amazon and GameStop's online lists right now. Not only that, but other anecdotes have more PS4 sales than X1.

it is price.

The Xbox One bundle is selling like crazy because it's 329 + 50 dollar gift card so essentially you're getting an X1 + two games for $279. But that's Target, idk about any other retailers. It's obviously not stopping the bundle from being #1 on Amazon right now.

329 with a 50 dollar gift card, the Target deal was insane. That is a true door buster deal.

In Amazon you get 12 months of LIVE, so it seems retailers are adding an extra bonus on top of the 329$+ 2 games offer, Sony doesn't stand a chance.

I went to Target, there was a stack of GTAV PS4 bundles up to about my waist. Nobody was really looking at them, and for some reason they were also in menswear?

I dunno, I ordered my PS4 for $290 so I don't feel bad about passing this bundle up, I got GTA V already and last of us shouldn't be more than $20 for a DL copy.

Yup. Neither Sony or Nintendo had a bundle like this. Microsoft deserves the sales.

Why do they deserve it? For the sheer skill of having unlimited money from their OS monopoly, thus being able to just recant on their vile policies last year and slash the price and throw in all the goodies they want, while being able to haemorrhage money?

I think they do, just not in Target based on the anecdotal evidence in this thread (which I still think they will eventually sell out, just not at the fast pace of the Xbox)

There are multiple retailers doing deals for the PS4 as well this weekend.
