I think you meant Agility there. Plus fighting at night in areas like Satorl Marsh and Valak Mountain for almost all of the superbosses should technically be a plus not a minus lol.
it was one of the few JRPG where I was roaming around for the pleasure of the battle system, but yuo know, matter of tastes. it's pretty obvious that the basic mechanic here will be very similar, don't know if the "issues" you pointed out will be any different.
Can't wait. I noticed on the website the 2nd direct is actually called Nintendo Direct.

It's been a while but i'm mostly sure agility gems were for dodging, which is what i ended up putting on Dunban. I 100% preferred him over Reyntime as a tank, but it takes a long while for him to get a real use out of loading him up with agility gems, mainly because of how long it took to get them.
The game was seriously beautiful, especially at night, but at the marsh i just skipped to day since I couldn't fight anything no matter what I did. I'm sure you come back, but unlike say FF12 if you sought out tougher stuff it wasn't impossible.

Better keep that gif for next month, pretty sure we're getting one last Totally-Not-Nintendo-Direct in early April. Hopefully an episode entirely focused to dolls. Just my 2 cents, though.

Soul Voice & Soul Stage
The other party members might call out to the player for certain actions (currently referred to as Soul Voice) which, if executed successfully, build up the Soul Stage meter. The meter is separated into three stages and attaining a new Soul Stage is rewarded with extra buffs and other bonuses during battle. The battle conditions for when a Soul Voice prompt from a party member is triggered as well as their success rewards can be fully customized by the player outside of battle.
Health
In this game, characters can only heal themselves. There is no designated healer on the character roster. Instead, health restoration of other party members happens automatically if the player successfully executes a time-sensitive button prompt during battle (Soul Voice).
