I wonder if they'll give Corvo a voice. Or take Emily's voice this time around.

Hoping for no silent protagonist this time.

So is there gonna be two seperate story modes or interchangable characters in a single story?

Probably each character has their own side or perspective of the story. Like you can see an event from afar as one character, but the other character is actually in that event. Just my two cents.

Wish the showed some real gameplay. I usually don't like a tech demo/cgi trailer. If you do a trailer at least have some portions or after the trailer show some real gameplay.

Hold the phone, Spring 2016 is confirmed as release window? Insane few months for Bethesda from late 2015 to mid 2016; Fallout 4, Doom and Dishonored 2.

I'm so pumped right now, first installment was one the best games last gen. And one of the feww games I have played through many times to play it differently, to go no kill play through to full slaughtering play through.

Not a big fan of Emily so far. I'm not a big fan of her look. I wish developers would just stick with one character in a game and just commit to them. I'm not a fan of multiple storylines most of the time.

The devs are saying that she has completely different powers and animations from Corvo.
No co-op.
It's the same campaign apparently, but you can play it as either character.

Metroidvania

People called Romanes they go the house?
the Post-show is talking about the setting and Emily on the stream. Some worldbuilding stuff and Emily-specific info.

Emily doesn't get blink, but has far-reach (the tentacle grab), has different animations/movement, etc...

They're also talking about how the level design has to accommodate both Emily and Corvo's varied power sets and focuses.

No co-op, single player gives more choice/consequence. Make a choice at the beginning between characters, and can't switch during a playthrough (reportedly for story-associated reasons). Also, Corvo and Emily get different 'takes' on the story based on their varying circumstances/personalities.

You choose your character at the start of the game, no switching. I'm definitely going to be playing through this like ten times.

I'm kinda excited to go back to Dishonoured's subtly fucked up misery world of shit where Cthulhu-beings rule the seas and everyone's so, so fucked

Hoh... so the Queen herself gets down and dirty to do stuff. That's cool.

Honestly do not expect to see Emily as a protagonist... kind of surprising.

I'm so excited for this game! I love the idea of two protagonists with different powers, makes for a lot variety in gameplay. And I also love that we get to play as Emily! I love the world and the lore of these games, plus the art style is very unique and fits the game so well. I think I'm more excited for this than Fallout 4, haha. Definitely picking up both this and Dishonored Definitive edition day one.

This sounds pretty awesome. I hope that they can properly balance the different playstyles. Just killing everyone made the game really easy.

Also, how doe we know that it's Spring 2016? I didn't hear that I think.

It wasn't, op got this confused with Doom

OP is quoting the official trailer description on youtube, problem is that it's likely they got that messed up with Doom 4.
No release date was given at the conference, they won't release this and Doom at the same time. I think this will be released at the end of 2016.

Its the date period they are aiming for.

Just reconfirm it on the Post Conference stream

wow spring 2016?

Sooner than I expected.

Choosable Protagonists will definitely increase the replayability, and play as Emily is really cool.

I just hope they make a new game plus, where you maintain all your powers. Not been able to do that, killed any desire to replay the first one.

Not a big fan of Emily so far. I wish developers would just stick with one character in a game and just commit to them. I'm not a fan of multiple storylines most of the time.
Corvo's story was done by the end of the first Dishonored. It's inevitable that future installments would focus on Emily.

I am hyped, I am SO FUCKING HYPED!! Dishonored is one of my all-time favourites and even though there was no gameplay shown, I can't wait to see Arkane's first current-gen project!

So ready for this. I love Dishonored so much I will buy the definitive edition ay one no questions asked. Bethesda has one hell of a lineup on their hands, but this is the one I've wanted most of all.

Hope there's a seat left left on the hype train, cause I'm buying a ticket.

That's great if confirmed! Although honestly I have a few doubts they will release both this and Doom 4 in the same time frame....also the fact they only had a CG trailer to show makes me think it will end up being a fall 2016 title, which is still fine to me, I'm really happy they announced it and it's coming relatively soon.

I find Spring 16 highly unlikely considering they unveiled with a CG trailer, but what do I know.

they didn't even announce a year or anything. Last rumor was a no show of the game at E3. My bet is either fall 2016 or spring 2017. The game must be still very early

One of the best games released last gen. Very excited for this! Love Emily's look and can't wait to see how Corvo's gonna turn out.

I was pleasantly surprised by Dishonored and it quickly became one of my favourite games of the year, so to say I am excited for Dishonored 2 would be an understatement, though i must say i was disappointed with the reveal. It was all CGI - i am personally exhausted of CGI reveals - and no mention of date, or even quarter. I much prefer to see a game and have it's release within 6 months - like the Fallout 4 reveal.

Also, I hope Dishonored Definitive Edition is not just Dishonored running at 1080p on the PS4 and Xbox one.
