I'm not saying that Microsoft's hands are clean. I'm just not faulting them for attempting to advertise in the few ways they can. If they are violating Sony's contracts, I say let their lawyers figure it out. I encourage Sony to follow suit where Microsoft has exclusive marketing.

OK fine I'll say it because no one else will, I think some people have a problem because while there is of course negative threads regarding to Sony on gaf (as there should be, it is a discussion forum) they usually don't have that much input from 'XB fans' beating down the Sony PR team, mistakes the company made in the past, business practices or tired old memes. With many threads relating to XB, MS, whatever there will be a vocal group of 'concerned' posters who have no intention of playing anything XB however feel the need to post about how much they don't like the company, the console, how terrible the company is, etc.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen in Sony threads, just that to a lesser extent. It also happens in a lot (all?) of the positive MS threads. You listed what would be looked at as 'negative' threads, this (should) have been a silly positive thread and look how it turned out.
I would like to state I don't give a shit, I'm not going to trawl through threads for proof as I don't care enough, it's just a web forum after. I'm not sorry if this bothers anyone, I'm just posting what I've seen happen.

Only thing I can say in response this is I have never felt the need to put someone on ignore here. Even the people I vehemently disagree with never say anything offensive/ignorant enough to block them. I think this is one of the best online communities around(gaming or otherwise) and I have been active on many. Seems like you can't handle views that differ from yours.

I tried to manage with out using ignore for the longest time (I always avoided it on other forums as much as I could) but Gaf is prolific content-wise, I just don't have the time and energy to trawl through the bullshit to the good stuff.
