TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan rated. (Activision, Platinum Games, PC/PS4/XB1/360/PS3)

You can't really call Saito better than Kamiya when Saito's best game is the second iteration (after Bayo 2) of a Kamiya combat system with a basically non-existent campaign. Like, come on.

MGR was really good tho.

Hashimoto directed Bayonetta 2.

Saito directed MGR and Transformers.

Edit:
Wait, you probably knew that already. It's an oddly worded post.

WHOA!

Hopefully it's in the style of either

1) the '90s cartoon

or

2) the '90s live-action movies

I love how Activision keeps hooking up Platinum with killer IPs

Looked for this thread and somehow missed it.

Anyways, I'm really looking forward to this. Can't wait to see if they include co-op or not.

I'm also down for Power Rangers by Platinum Games

Power Rangers

Platinum Games

...it just feels right

Think Super Sentai Musou is far more likely

Online coop and its a day zero for me.

If the Super Sentai Musou is anything near Hyrule or DQ Heroes quality, day one. But i'd rather see Platinum take another stab at a Wonderful 101 game since they already have their own sentai series. Or at least another game in it's universe ala Mad World & Anarchy.

Activision taking their licensed games from the shit-tier to Platinum?

I'm loving this trend. I mean, think about it. Activision wants a low budget, high earning, decent/highly profitable licensed product done on a tight timeframe and that's exactly what Platinum does well. Plus, their properties like Transformers and TMNT are action based, which is Platinum's creme de la creme.

This is nothing but good, as long as Platinum is able to remain safe from a buy- out, of course.

This being M-rated is bizarre tbh, TMNT games don't need to be bloody or extremely violent.

It was rated M in Australia, whose M rating is equivalent to the ESRB's T.

The thread title really should be edited to reflect that.

It's an Australian M, which is the equivalent of an American T. MA15 and R18 are the American M equivalents.

Ah I see, so at least remove the M-rating thing.

You know what would be cool? Offer to play as ANY of the TMNT designs from the 80s onwards
I'm talking OG comics
80s cartoon
03 Cartoon
IDW comic
Nick cartoon

Everybody is happy this way!

Well, they had to do something. The "b-tier" side of Activision wasn't doing much by itself with the kind of wares they were putting out. At least this way, with P*, they have a way of breaking into the "mid-tier" side of gaming without breaking their bank,

As one of those who have been hoping that more devs would find this type of middle ground for their properties, instead of either settling for "either shovelware or AAA/AAAA, this is part of a welcome trend to see.

I would argue that not including local multiplayer would be a huge mistake. I hope everyone involved is aware of how important that is to a TMNT game.

Normally, I would be fearful of MP of any sort in a character action game.

But then I played TF: Devastation. And recall the times when you had your fellow Autobots fighting alongside you and wondering why there wasn't a mode where it could have been real friends, instead!

As long as there's a way I can still play alone when I want to, I'll be great.

I haven't even bothered to see the recent films but this sounds like it has great potential. I love being a turtle!

I can't deal...

Platinum is literally taking the things I watched as a kid and making it more awesome than I remembered.

Hope they go for a comic book feel instead of the goofy 80's toon.

The Mirage comics were pretty brutal early on being a Frank Miller parody and all.
