Crash 3 and Crash Team Racing are the best platformer and racer during that gen respectively.

And when was the last Medievil game?

Didn't they just make a new Medieval game? Was a crappy move game?

Edit: oh wait it looks like its not actually connected to medievil, its just ANOTHER sony exclusive game where you play as a skeleton running around slashing people with a sword, with a super similar name...

Well, I think one thing is obvious:
Capcom said we might get our hands on a little surprise at the SF 25th anniversary. Look at the games that will be available, and one game, Darkstalkers Resurrection, is pretty goddamn out of place. It seems reasonable that Darkstalkers IV will be the surprise.

Kadey keeps saying cat-related things. Therefore, Felicia will be playable/unveiled for Darkstalkers IV at SF 25th.

I keep thinking its some kind of cat-based anime fighter by Eighting.

The truth must be said.

That game was broken as fuck.

What he said.

Beyond Block Fort and the rest of the amazing battle, Mario Kart 64 was great in its time but it might be the worst racing one.

GO FIGHTAN GAMES.

I think Kadey's hinting that Capcom is finally changing their name to Catcom.

The housecat is a feline. So is a lion. Lion is a playable character in DotA 2, which is made by Valve. Marvel vs Capcom 3. Half Life 3 confirmed.

Wait no I got it.
CAT's out of the bag.
SCRATCH that last post

Cat Scratch Fever, obviously. Performed by Ted Nugent, whose other hit is Stranglehold. Grapplers put people in strangleholds. They're buffing Zangief.

All way off the mark.

Remember this is something that will make Kadey very happy.

Karin is going to be in SF4 2013. There will be many a cat fight with Sakura.

Boom,there it is for everybody.

Cl0ckw0rk up next on WNF. Let's see that Raiden action.

And yeah...at least UltraDavid and James Chen agree that items don't need to be banned in PSASBR. I wish the tournament organizers over here would see that.

Ugh

Next gen, Capcom.... next gen. For the love of God...

It still boggles my mind that Crash, Spyro, and Classic Dante, three characters that people immediately think of when you mention Playstation, are noticeably absent from PS All-Stars. Meanwhile Big Daddy, a character who was an XBox 360 exclusive for nearly a year before coming to the PS3, is playable.

Cloud too, blame Activizion and Square. I do think when you look at the UI cutscenes and stuff, it's clear Superbot didn't exactly have a huge budget for this game, so I can understand them not spending big money (and Spyro in particular would've cost alot since Activizion have completely rebranded him) on third-parties. That's why you see so many pretty obvious marketing type characters.

If the sales are really good then there's a better chance of seeing those guys in the sequel. When you look solely at the 1st party characters, Superbot pretty much hit every note even up to the final boss, so they did well with what they had.

I really don't understand why you'd want this. It feels like there'd be no surer way to kill a Darkstalkers 4 than putting on a system the majority of the FGC wouldnt have access to right away. Maybe if we're talking about a time frame where we're already 1-2 years into the release of PS4 / Xbox 3 but definitely not right away.

Sony All-Stars better than Brawl?
Anything is better than brawl.
That would be nice, release it in arcades until.
Bingo bango

That's never going to happen though, what with there being a 140m+ install base to work with. The HD twins will be supported for a while yet by everyone outside of the huge Western publishers.
My apologies if I come across as crude or combative. Just a warning ahead of time.

These systems are done. Have none of you payed attention to the NPD sales? People want new hardware and a new experience. Darkstalkers has been absent for more than fifteen years now and current gen development will be done by the beginning of 2014 even if Sony wants to fight it. MS ain't gonna let third parties settle between the 360 and Wii U. This series needs to land on fresh fields full of 2-4 GB of RAM, possible streaming/recording technology, more patch friendly policies, more powerful graphics hardware, etc. Also, install base is not as big a deal for Darkstalkers. The series is not going to sell three million copies WW no matter how many gems Capcom puts in it and the game doesn't have to be a day 1 launch game either.

I wonder if folks follow things outside the FGC. You'd see that this generation is done and fighters have merely worked with the limitations of hardware/policy rather than thrived because of it. The picture also becomes cloudy once Capcom has to scale the game down for current gen instead of making something completely amazing from scratch on next gen hardware. Do you guys really want to constrain the design and aesthetics permanently because you can't keep it in your pants for one year? We have next year packed with Phantasma, more Skullgirls updates, Jojos, Resurrection, etc. It may not be the deluge we got this year, but do you guys really stop playing games because they turned two? SFIV lasted five years so far. Mahvel is only two years old. I think we got other things we can use to kill time.

It's not uncommon for more niche titles to be released during a systems winding down period.
Launching something as small as Darkstalkers early on in the next gen isn't gonna do it any favors. Unless it follows a Street Fighter or something, it's not gonna get any more than it would now.

Japan is the primary market for the game anyways, and they're still very receptive to PS3 releases.

darskstalkers 4 should be next gen (if they do it). its not gonna sell much really looking at current fg sales trends.

if its there at new console launch, it could be would be caught up in the hype and people wanting a new game no matter the ip to play on their new hardware. i think they would get more sales. then sf5 could come after that and be more polished.

plus for my selfish reasons, i want it on new hardware as well.

imo of course.
