It's a pretty good show so far.
AGE-2 was okay for the five seconds it appears in the last episode of the second arc. AGE-3 was a return to ugly/dumb.
The third arc was sort of okay because
Asemu and Kio hate Flit.

AGE-3 and FX are awesome, bulky suits we haven't really got to see a main character use since ZZ. They are both awesome. Love that big ass cannon. If I had one complaint about AGE-3, it would be that it's too maneuverable. I want some main gundams built like tanks. They don't always have to be so hyper fast and close combat focussed.
I think Anno finally became so fed up with it that he just drove it off a cliff.

Wow Y is easily one of the best female characters Ive ever encountered, such amazing ideas stimulating an awesome revolution with huge influence, I think we like similar manga. So far the best episode, I want to read cinnamon and campherwood and the others too. Poor assistant hiding though. Such a happy episode, couldn't stop smiling the whole time I was watching.

Y pretty much started a revolution of yaoi manga/doujinshi and fujoshi in a world with practically no entertainment. That's praise worthy no matter who you are. Also Miyuki Sawashiro.

At first I was surprised at the praise of Y, then I kept reading.

Basic origin story told here folks. Parn's hometown came under attack by some Goblins and he remembered he wanted to be a LEGENDARY HOLY KNIGHT like Agrias Oaks or his dad. Then he teamed up with Slayn the Wizard, Gim the Dwarf, and Ato the Priest (Deedlit the Elf babe hasn't joined yet.) and they started a hair metal band or something to rock those goblins away from the thatched roof cottages. Pretty sure I remember this show ending with Parn going toe-to-toe with the Burninator.
Haven't bothered with SEED yet! Every attempt ends at like 5 episodes in so this means nothing to me!
BUT MU LA FLAGA IS IN SEED AND HE IS BEST GUNDAM HERO.
You'd think so......but.........Judau actually kind of gets more tolerable as ZZ goes on. Kio only gets worse. There's a particular shift that goes on part way through Part 3 that makes him even more intolerable.

I could probably handle ZZ nowadays. Tried to watch it directly after my first viewing of Zeta back in the day and I couldn't handle that shift in tone.

Best Gundam character is Treize Kushrenada. And he's in Wing. SEED' only interesting point is pink zakus for girls.
You know what? You're all right. I may not think he's the best Gundam character myself but I still maintain he's the best thing about Wing.
Really? Wing as a show is mostly intolerable. Even whiny original Amuro is better than what wing has. Give me old Amuro any day as a hero. As a character in general, though, you cannot beat Char. You just can't.
Unicorn as a story hasn't been amazing so far. Marida's story has been the only real highlight. The main story has felt like a big delay tactic for the final bit here.
As an action piece, though, Unicorn is freaking fantastic.
This man has taste. As far as Char clone's/masked men go, you cannot be Ord. Part of what made Turn A so fantastic.

Maybe it's because it's my first Gundam series, but Wing is my favorite, closely seconded by G Gundam.
I didn't see yet the UC series, so I wouldn't know about Char, but Treize is cool. Hehas like roses or whatever he's true Gundam Knight. You just cannot hate on him.
Why would you recommend another awful Gundam series?
I'll take a full 50 episode Unicorn series (Banagher dies in ep5) over Wing/SEED/00/Age.

I think it may help. I watched ZZ a few months after Zeta and liked it a lot. It helped me regain my confidence in anime after finishing Sword Art Online a few days before.
Treize is the least awful part of W, but he still cannot compare to the mastery of char.
Hmmmm. If I could get a full series in the style/quality of 00 Season 1, I'd probably take that over Unicorn. Take as a whole, yeah, more Unicorn would be better than Wing/SEED/Full 00/or Age
You'll be surprised how often the AU shows go back to the UC well once you do watch UC series.

I've heard about it and I plan to watch the original someday. But now, I just don't have time, sadly.
Treize always struck me as a better realized version of Scirocco for reasons I can apparently no longer remember.
