Yeah. That was fucked up for Skellington. But MS were in a much stronger "Don't give a fuck" position with the 360 than they are leading up to launch with the Xbone. And Skellington's situation didn't get anywhere near the exposure this guy is getting. I'm sure MS will do the right thing for the sake of much needed good PR.

Buyer did not sign any NDA, he ordered and got the console... banning him is utter stupidity. But hey, MS has been doing that for all of this year - being stupid.
There is nothing cheap or lazy about yosp response - he answered "no" to the question if Sony would ban the console - and in fact, Sony does not ban consoles like MS does, they simply have different policies in place.

The 15th would have definitely been a better question to answer if it was asked. I don't think anyone expects any bans after Sony doing nothing with early Vita releases.

Kutaragi was CEO of SCE, not Sony as a whole. Technically it's Kutaragi => Hirai => House. Kutaragi was "kicked upstairs" shortly after the PS3 launch, and rightly so considering how much of a disaster the system was. I was just taking the pre-PS3 and current people.

Sony is just waiting doing almost nothing than regular PR and marketing , MS is scared so anything that creates controversy need to be fixed asap. As you say Sony is just benefiting from MS mistakes, its an easy game but after launch there will be another kind of "battle". I bet Sony at this moment plans to move all the PS4 they can due to the "good image" momentum they have if they succeeds will be hard to MS to recover, specially in the U.S.

Sony also has the luxury of having a less than stellar launch because demand is so high. Microsoft will have to work harder and to me that's actually good. It took a couple of years to get Sony into gear after the PS3 came out and the media handed them there ass too and look at how they turned things around. Hopefully Microsoft will too but I also don't want Sony to relax either.
