today has been a really fucking terrible day. I just... I want to do this.
I doubt he's in the negotiating room.
I just. Wow. You killed your own show. Congratulations?
So when does Fuller get to make a new Star Trek tv show?
It really hurts to consider that he just let the show die
We never even got to see Lee Pace!
He pulled a Whedon.I doubt he's in the negotiating room.

They are likely asking too much for the rights of the show. I bet it comes to Netflix in a year or two when the price comes down.
If that's how these things work I have no idea but it sounds right and I like sounding smart.
Netflix picks up The Fucking Killing but this they're not interested in.

WTF, wow. American Gods should die so Hannibal can live.Too expensive for Crackle, they're not going for it.
EDIT: LOL Fuller, really?
So what was all that bullshit in the S2 wrap up about how they couldn't wait to do Red Dragon/Silence/Hannibal through 7 seasons? Why would you make that promise if you knew you weren't coming back?
Instead of giving the show away he wanted the studios to wait until he continues with the show?
Wow
Yeah, that's really disappointing to hear. I'm glad that Amazon was down to pick it up, though.
It definitely fits their brand, but it's insane to expect that any network would wait a year for this. Really disappointing all around :-(
Kind of like the last season of China Beach, in which the producers went "fuck it" and did whatever the hell they wanted creatively.
I'm an artist myself, but art that strives to be an entertainment medium has to....well..."entertain". And thus far the current Season to me has been missing the mark in that regard. I would wish there could be a nice middle ground between artistic tedium and generic crappy-by-the-numbers procedurals.I will say that all the "show is too arty/show has gotten too weird this season" talk is extremely annoying IMO. Too artistic is an insult? What else on network television in 2015 has any shred of aristry in it at all? We've got generic crappy sitcoms #1 through 500, generic crappy cop shows, generic crappy soap operas. God forbid one show on a major network attempt to go in the other direction.

This is Fuller's design.
Weirdly, having a procedural element to the show alleviated a lot of the problems I'm having with this season, because it at least allowed the show to tread more well-worn ground as it pivoted towards its more lofty ambitions.
Hannibal cancelled, Game of Thrones going down the toilet, what do I do now
what do I do

No one else will get this, but this is a great parallel.
Honestly, given the hints that Fuller has dropped regarding his season 4 plans in both the show and interviews, I feel like it would only have gotten more esoteric from here on out once they'd completely run out of licensed material. Silence of the Lambs was only ever a nice pipedream, I think, given the licensing issues.
