So would Demon's Soiuls be locked at 720p and whatever framerate? I'm guessing yea, if it's just streaming.
You're literally playing a PS3 game...the PC does nothing but receive video and send inputs.
I'd love for this to be true.

The significance is that it'd be the first really general opening up of the idea of 'play PlayStation without a PlayStation'.
I hope people arent thinking this means that the games will be improved then they are if they're played on a PS3/PS4.
The input lag on this alone kills all my interest in PS NOW.
It only has PS3 titles right now.
Insidious, and will probably work on me.
Does it actually work well? It's like Netflix for select PlayStation 1, 2 and 3 games. PS4 games could hypothetically be added in future.
That's already true, some Samsung TVs have PS Now app
I believe you can via PS+ cloud saves. Can you transfer saves from PS3 to PS Now? The list of games isn't very compelling but the instant start is. Will try the trial but if it's not compelling for something like a platformer I doubt I will pay.
I don't know how this shit works so, if I played a game with unlocked framerates like Bayonetta 1 via PS Now on PC will the framerates still be garbage?
I did a trial of this a year ago and yeah the input lag was just insane (35/5 connection), I couldn't handle it.
I want to be excited for this but that experience is preventing it.

Yep.Hmm, Get pc folk hooked on uncharted and god of war so they will buy PS4?
Yep.
I think PS Now was always about getting people into the PS ecosystem rather than an attempt to solve BC.
You stream a PS3 game as if it was played on a PS3. You cant enhance or change anything.
Does it actually work well?
Anyway....meh. If they were porting PS games that would be of interest. This, not so much.
Digital Foundry said:With no means to physically reduce input lag in the actual games, conventional wisdom suggests that the end result shouldn't work very well, but in many cases, PlayStation Now exceeds expectations and hands in a perfectly serviceable gaming experience: not as good as playing locally of course, but still enjoyable on a range of games.
Input lag wasn't bad for me in the games I played. Even played through the entirety of Uncharted 2 jumping and shooting with no problems. 12/2 connection.
Is psnow input lag that bad? I mean I played and loved LA Noire and Deus Ex HR on Onlive first and had zero issues.
One step closer, baby. Do it, Sony. Cant wait for the death of the "$400 box." Definitely hoping for an enhancement in streaming visual quality in the future.

Sarcasm? If not, lol!If I didn't already own a PS4 and virtually every game on the service, I might be more enthused. But it's a telling sign about where consoles are headed and why the PC master race reigns supreme.

Oh I see.
so it's like buying a digital PS3/Vita on PC and nothing more.
Red Dead Redemption on PC, my friend.
(If it gets added to PS Now, that is)
Yea, TLOU on PC will mean jack to 95% of the PC gamers when they see how much input lag there is.I did a trial of this a year ago and yeah the input lag was just insane (35/5 connection), I couldn't handle it.

Wait, there were and they removed them?!

On the NA store at least, there were never PS1 or PS2 games on the service. I don't know about other regions. Maybe they were there during the closed beta?

Oh yea hah I remember the low bitrate. Seeing things pixelated in a game while playing it was a strange sight.Monthly fees, bitrate / IQ issues and input lag make this pointless for me. That and already having a PS3 lying around somewhere.
I don't think you need PS Plus to use PSNow, like, at all. Someone correct me if i'm wrong.
No thanks
So the PC gets both Xbox and Sony exclusives? This generation has been great to jump into PC gaming.
