Yeah Cruz is toast even with a win in Texas. Texas is proportional and Trump is going to walk away with at least a modest amount just by hitting 20% statewide and in any districts where he hits that number.
Would love to see Cruz lose though and have him try to explain that to donors/supporters going forward. He probably still doesn't drop out, but at least he'll be taken less seriously.
I don't know how you'd even condense this debate into a highlight reel. The entire thing was a highlight reel.

Honestly, Rubio and Cruz being fine with people dying in the streets is a new low.
Pundits will say Rubio had a good night if he manages to not vomit on live television.
I thought he had a great night - he was very well prepared and had conviction in going after Trump. Rubio always had 3-4 hilarious gafs in each debate, but Trump sounds like a babbling idiot in most of his answers so it's a moot point.
If you're implying that it won't have much of an impact on Trump, then I agree with that assessment. But still Rubio did well.
The thing is, he said enough crazy shit for the stumping to be swept away a bit.
The majority of the debate was pure soundbite porn for Trump.

Last big debate at least. If Trump sweeps like he is expected to, the only person I think who may even stay in is Cruz. However, if Cruz loses Texas to Trump I can see him bowing out.

The " Conservative platform" is on its death bed. I think that's one of the big take aways from seeing the success of Trump.

That's the thing with Trump - as much of an asshat as he is, the dude looks extremely confident on stage and his power increases with each incoming insult.

Pretty much. The fact that that Trump got applause for defending that should worry the Republican establishment more than Trump himself.
Actually there is a Fox debate on the 3rd. If you remember Trump skipped the last one and is at war with Megyn Kelly so I think that is the last big debate BUT if Trump destroys on Tuesday then it is certainly less important.

Because he's made Republicans think he is a soft liberal. The guy has poor unfavorables and is actually the worst suited guy left to take on Trump.
