Kojima's talking it up real well....

Apparently at night, it'll be really damn dark, to the point it'll be really hard to see enemies, but it will also be hard for enemies to see you, and there will be less of them. Of course, the headlights of a car will draw everyone's attention (he joked that it'll be so dark that you'll hit wild animals while driving).

If you choose to act during the day, you'll have the advantage of being able to see where all the enemies are, but of course it'll be easier for them to see you, and there will be more of them.

He's also saying that Ground Zeroes is basically a tutorial that takes place 15 years before the main open-world part, so maybe that accounts for it's relative simplicity.

The missions are fairly broad, like "kill this guy" or "extract this guy" and you'll be able to decide what equipment you want to take, how to approach it, basic open world stuff.

Thanks. Was hoping for a translation here.

First time using Niconico, never registered for an account before because of the extra hassle... now I am getting a 'seat given to premium members, please sign up for a premium account' message every other minute; is this normal? I really don't like Niconico. :/

Keynote wasn't too bad...

MGSV looked ace, Deep Down seemed pretty cool but need to see more.

It's too bad, because simultaneous interpreting is really, really tough. I think I know the woman doing the interpreting, if so, she's really improved over the past few years. It's probably just a tick she has as she processes what he's saying in real-time.
