It's awesome how Arrow seems to have had a knock-on affect which Smallville never did. CW is quickly becoming the DC Comics Network.
It sucks because each year they took away the budget of Smallwood and refused to advertise it but it brought it in more viewers than their shitty tween drama shows. Idk why it took so long for them to realize that supernatural and smallville outperformed their other shows by a wide margin so that maybe they would be better off doing shows like that.

Apart from the death-aspiring, soul-sucking eyes, the stringy hair and the fact that she has eyebags the size of a monstertruck-tire, cute as all hell.
I might be strange, but she looks better like that. But I also might need to watch Masters of Sex if I like her in iZombie.

CW and there tendency to hire mid 20s actors to play 17 year olds in a "drama" has become such an eye roller. Its like a cheap and struggle MTV

Generally everybody tries to hire adults for such roles. That said, isnt the zombie girl actually mid 20s in comics?

It's funny you mention MTV, because Teen Wolf is outright laughable. Crystal Reed is pushing 29 (I wish there was a way to put numbers in caps, I swear), yet she plays a high schooler.

Edit: And Arden Cho (Kira) is 28. Lawd.

She is a medical resident, so she is relatively age-appropriate.
This probably is the one time it would line up, but in almost everything else its so jarring seeing model type being in some of these shows. I know you hire adults but idk CW shows always came off "off" to me
Go watch El Chavo brah. It'll blow your mind.
Never heard of it ill check it out

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
I just find it insane that I'll be watching 3 shows on the CW this fall.

They're straight killin' it.

Was just going to post that after seeing the poster, still so damn hot even in that. Fucking her brains out would be appropriate, no?

Only three? I'm watching Arrow, Flash, iZombie, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Reign, The 100, Supernatural. I kinda need to watch Jane the Virgin just because I'm watching everything else anyway.

Arrow actors are about 25-30, the same age as their characters. The Vampire Diaries characters should be around 20, a bit younger than their actors and they're vampires; The Originals cast is older, but their characters are too; Supernatural characters are about the same age as their actors; Reign has aged up the characters its portraying so they're in line with their actors ~about 20-25. The kids from The 100 are about the only ones clearly too young. But yes, they're all pretty. The CW is the pretty people channel, just like every other channel. They just use pretty 20-30 year olds instead of pretty 30-40 year olds.

Nevermind, it's this Friday. My bad!

apparently due to recasting they won't be screening the full pilot, just extended clips. :/

EDIT: GAH, I'm so confused. Ok, so the pilot will be screening today in some capacity, just not at the moderated panel.

TV Line Video interview with Rob Thomas, Diane Ruggiero and the cast?

When the cast and creatives behind The CW’s iZombie dropped by TVLine’s San Diego Comic-Con suite, Michael Ausiello fittingly picked their brains about what the midseason drama has in store.

See, the DC Comics-inspired drama stars Rose McIver (Once Upon a Time) as Liv, a go-getter medical resident who finds herself among the “formerly alive” after stumbling upon a zombie feeding frenzy. To keep her undead desires at bay, Liv takes a job at the Seattle coroner’s office, where she can munch on the noodles of murder victims — though in turn, she absorbs some of their memories, and thus proves adept at solving cases.

Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill) plays Liv’s fiancé, newcomer Rahul Kohli is the morgue boss wise to her “condition,” Malcolm Goodwin (Breakout Kings) plays a police detective who avails himself of Liv’s “psychic” skills, while David Anders (Alias) is the villain of the piece, Blaine DeBeers. Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright serve as exec producers.

Yet despite the zombie-fied premise (and Liv’s dietary habit), Thomas states, “We’re not going to out-gore The Walking Dead.”

Also in this video Q&A: Anders raves about his character’s name (and how it could easily pave the way for a visit from Roman DeBeers of Thomas’ Party Down), while Thomas reveals a guest-starring role that is so perfect for one of his Veronica Mars alumni, it’s even named after said actor. Also, of course, you get a Mars movie sequel update!

I always forget David Anders isn't actually british. lol

and yaaaaaasss at potential Roman from party down connection

I really liked the iZombie comic book, but this is deviating so far from that I don't know how to feel about it. We're probably not gonna get the cool 60s ghost or the were-terrier are we?

That's a little CW for my tastes, I think they needed to go for cute rather than hot for her best friend. She should've been cast as Jane The Virgin or something. Rose McIver still looks hotter than Aly as a zombie. Aly just doesn't fit with the perceived vibe I had for this show. Just me I guess....

Ha, the show was filming like, 5 minutes away from where I live just two days ago. Saw filming direction signs around the area

I've never read the comic, but this is exactly the sort of thing I like to see on TV. The premise reminds me more than a bit of Tru Calling.
