I do dearly love Tamayura. Its kind of hard to say why. Maybe it is simply a romantic nostalgic view of growing up and graduating high school. But the use of photography and Pottes reconnecting with her memories of her father to discuss memory really moved me. It also got me to get back into photography as a hobby.

It is kind of the perfect SOL and healing anime for me.

Good episode. This show dies a really good job with imagery, especially that split screen shot at night while they were in the pool. Also, the show is doing a really good job with relationship development for the two mains as they grow their bond;
it's a shame she is a ghost though
since it can only be tragedy as has been forshadowed already as she learns about her past..

God Eater Episode 12

We need like 13 more episodes, this is so good and I feel like there is so much more to the backstory that would make it so compelling. The devouring apocalypse even (and the visuals for it devouring the earth and going to space, epic).

Utsugi Lenka god arc ought to have been able to one hit KO pita. I hope it happens next episode, would be a stunning scene and we could wipe that smile off that aragami's face.

I want his God Arc so much.

But a super enjoyable show overall. I assumed it was a romance show and while there are some elements of it there, the show is primarily a comedy and a damn good one at that. Love the visual style of humor the show has and the SD expressions and faces always made me chuckle.Even the little hints of romance we do get are oh so sweet.

I think the thing that holds the show together so well is how fun it is to follow Kyoko and if the dub is kickstarted the dub actress has a lot to live up to. Watching her character progress from passive wallflower to really determined and focused actress was fantastic and I appreciated that her motivation evolves over time from "I hate my ex, I want revenge on him" towards "fuck that guy, I want to do this for me and because it makes me happy". She accomplishes a hell of a lot in such a short space of time making me wonder where exactly the manga goes from here.

So yeah the only real negative being it's very much a go read the manga adaption. But in that sense it definitely achieves what it sets out to do because they have quite a lot of long-term story planning and character development as there are so many threads planted and character backstories that are touched on but not yet explored. Like a huge part of Kyoko is shaped by her mother whose presence lurks over a lot of the show and it provides some very intense scenes so I can only imagine what thats like in the manga when they actually address that issue head-on.

So thats that. Ill start shilling this show now just because I want to see its Kickstarter be successful(it looks to be doing OK atm.) Even if just to, as the Kickstarter says, raise the general interest in releasing shoujos in the West. Its still one of those genres like sports were it's a bit of a lottery in terms of what shows will get picked up and which won't.

Hope that Viz releases the 2012 Jojo's anime (Parts 1 and 2) on BD. Might actually be possible, since they have a pretty close relationship with Warner (who handles distribution for all of Viz's titles).

There's only so much I can care about random super-powered strangers showing up and fighting each other. With all the new characters that have been introduced in the Yorkshin arc, I feel like the characters I've been following up to now have gotten sidelined and I can't get invested in what's going on anymore. Hopefully with Kurapika getting directly involved at the end of this episode the arc will start getting good.

All the masomi mikado parts, pretty intense. NO way do I believe he will die or kill himself. He could have just hopped town or something if he wanted to end the dollars. Though if he really did off himself...wow. Then again the writer hasnt been afraid to kill off their lead character in other literary works theyve penned so...

I'm not always opposed to stupidly giant weapons in anime and games. Hell sometimes I think they're rad.

But God Eater makes me wonder if the anime was supposed to be a parody, but the production notes explicitly stating this got lost at some point.

Well, there's an interview with Takashi Suhara (another ufotable director) in which he states that Takayuki Hirao (the director of God Eater) taught him that if tragedy is taken to the extreme it flips over and becomes comedy. So maybe Hirao really is trying to have a laugh at the viewers' expense.

Not announced so far, but the show was successful, so it should come eventually. The issue is that they were really close to catching up with the source material by the time the second season ended.

Jeanne's one moment of not being a complete monster was she decided that even killing a blind prostitute she tricked was too much for her, which ended up biting her in the ass later so that probably vindicates herself in her mind.

What would you like to know? I personally would just read the manga. But yeah we're it stops kinda sucks. The rest of the arc is well done. Glad to hear you enjoyed it though.

First one is bad but I'll allow it. Second one seems like the most grounded one but that doesn't mean it is any good either. I just can't get over the other dude's hair though.

Illl probably check it out some day. But first things first Does Ren ever find out who Bo the chicken is? The best scenes in the show for me and i remember asking if she keeps the suit and I was fist pumping when she brought in the last few episodes.

How far does Kyoko go? Like she's a legit star by the end of the anime with multiple TV roles. And it makes me wonder how exactly does Sho continue to fit in. Also obviously does the romance progress? Even though i liked that fact that Kyoko wasn't a typical shoujo heroine who falls head over heels in love and their relationship was built more on respect than love, it's obviously still there somewhere. And finally have they fully disclosed Ren and Kyoko's pasts?

I really like some of the transitions on display here. For instance, having a newspaper blow into the face of Kitaro, zooming in on a story about a company in disarray, and then cutting to that company's president reading that newspaper story in anger. Or showing a suitcase full of money in the president's office, over which Kitaro enters talking about money and then we cut back to a scene following him. It's slick.

Episode 5 was sone growth for Kirie by finally acknowledgimg Yuuko and touching her for the first time. This almost plays out like a harem for our MC, but at least she had the courage to throw herself out there for Teiichi to notice her as more than a clubmate since she was getting all jelly at how close he is with a ghost.

Now episode 6 was excellent and really pushed some horror in the episode by the Akashi ghost /monster story. Those kids in the school are way too easily influenced by these stupid ghost rumors. At the same time, the relationship between Kirie and Teiichi continues to grow.
