Cause a red check would force a 50/50 heads up or some wifom games. Don't think scummates would be okay with him going in on them with a red check. So it would be clearing a townie in my mind.

Phrasing with some dropped words like "it would be" before the weird or does melon already believing it's more likely a gambit as she knows only way it's true is if haly is SK since haly isn't her scum mate? Keeping in mind scum would know one person who isn't SK for sure here.
Gorlaks first post of day 2 iirc. Starts off mentioning he has a bit preplanned post on bats that he will post later. Why? Who cares beyond the fact that it is a show of effort? All it says to me is that gorlak is trying to earn himself some town goodwill by showing how much work he put in even if it was wrong and now about a dead man.
Following that he throws shade at basically everyone in the game, but does give some light lip service to crab as being the most suspect. At this point crab has three votes on him. Tim, haly, and squidy. The case being posited is decent harkening to crabs flippant switch from ouro to LP after demanding a good argument then deciding he didn't need one any how. I think scum at this point has written off crab to a large extent. Unless some big info comes in (say like a cops red check) crab is pretty firmly on the chopping block. So best to start laying the shade on thick to give reasoning for a bus vote to come in later when necessary without actually voting now and extra shade for everyone to be sure. I also think those three votes were scary because there are no scum in there. It was 3 town on a scummate, meaning scum would have to circle the wagons all together or see him go down almost assuredly.
Gorlaks follow up post where he raises squidy as someone who needs to be looked into, posts his big bats posts to show how hard he was working, totes town, brings up the reads lists of the dead which between the 3 have the majority of the game but all leave out crab which is interesting.
Then ends with lip service on crab, wants to hear everyone's opinion before he has to pick a side and come down firm. Scum feeling the air? I think so.

Gorlak jumps on this part of the crab x ouro interaction where they agree to switch the train to LP. Ouros response was lackluster but crabs response was waaaay worse in my opinion which goes by completed uncommented on from gorlak.
I believe the previous, more so than the latter. Scum have enough confirmed townies to kill at the moment. Don't think they would particularly care about fishing for the ??s in that situation. Doctor seems unlikely to me. Plus just odds out 3T at much more likely.
Melon dropping in towards the end of day 1 here. The timing is a bit close I admit but this is also when Crab is about to pick up steam as a likely candidate as well, which this post conveniently keeps out of view.

Honestly at this point I'm mostly ignoring crabs posts from day 2 and today as I think he realizes his goose is cooked. Too much wifom for my taste.

I think the most worthwhile of his interactions to look at are the portion of d1 in which he was actually engaged.
I'll also admit that at this point I think I'm just reinforcing who I see as the scum team and maybe be getting a bit tunnel vision. I'm open to hearing arguments made on who slots into crab/x/x if it's not gorlak and melon.

I already shared that I'm leaning Squid and/or Haly for scum.
Does crab being scum change your view on either? One stand out as more likely on a team with Crab?
Any particular posts or interactions you can grab that are leading you to feel this way?

It's true, it could. There's feasibly a Crab/CzarTim/Haly scum team but of course I won't argue for it. It's not unheard for scum to call out their own members' mistakes as a kind of first-strike bus. I think it happened in... Bloodborne? When it works it works rather well.
