Nintendo Direct September 13th for Switch and 3DS

It's official, this is now my new favorite episode. It takes the already great new format introduced back in April, and simply expands on it. Not to mention some great surprises, like Doom and Wolfenstein II ports. The only real complaint was the lack of info on system updates, I'm guessing that stuff will come next year. The April 1st 2015 Direct was my favorite up to this point, but today it has met it's match.

Switch Line-Up for this year is solid, but i wished, we have a better look at the games for next year.
Also where is Smash? =(

Sold me on Mario. I'll pick up Doom again if it runs at 60 and looks okay. Octopath i'll see how it turns out but looks cool.

Shame the smash rumour wasn't true but guess will be in the Jan direct now.

I just wish they'd finally give us more information about the Virtual Console and Nintendo Switch Online...

I am excited for Mario Odyssey and the upcoming Kirby game on the Switch, though.

Decent Direct

Odyssey and that new Square sprite RPG looked nice, but that's about it for me for now
Nintendo Arcades sounds pretty neat, tho I wonder if it's part of the service or just seperate eshop purchases again
Buff Dedede was pretty funny

Ugh... So many cool things but the one thing I wanted was the Secret of Mana collection to come to the west and nope, its not happening.

WHY SE, WHY!!!

There were no announced games for Switch at least. Dunno if there were any for 3DS.

I wasn't a fan of this Direct, honestly. They killed any reason for me wanting to get Xenoblade 2 with that 5 minute long trailer of nonsense. Not to mention the voice over.

Odyssey including lots of crazy bullshit like Photo Mode is crazy

Was a 5/10 but i am gonna bump it to a

6.66 for Doom

Mario Party not also launching on a Switch is a big oversight, spent too lng on xenoblade and that squenix game

They would have been better off not wasting our time with those long games segments besides Odessey and just showing epic trailers.

Really solid direct. There are a bunch of games I'm hyped for in the next few months alone.

And just when I think I can't get more hyped for Odyssey...

Me in the announcement thread said:
Does anyone think there will be new announcements here bigger than downloadable eShop games? Because i'm a bit skeptical. Seems like this Direct will only serve the purpose of driving up hype for the holiday..

Ta-da...
WHY IS MARIO PARTY GREATEST HITS NOT ON SWITCH!!?? GODDAMMIT!!

Switch's first year... is ridiculous. So many games.

An amazing Zelda game, and what looks like an amazing Mario game.
Seriously. I'm dropping like all my game money on Nintendo this year including getting a Samus 3DS. After disregarding the Wii U, Nintendo owns me again.

Up there with the most disappointing presentations I've ever wasted my time on. A bit melodramatic I know, but I just recently got a Switch. The hell am I supposed to do with this thing besides Zelda?

If you bought this game only for Zelda, and other blockbuster games that will be spaced out than you bought unwisely. Everybody knew that Nintendo is gonna space there 1st party game releases. They aren't gonna splurge all 1st party games within 2 quarters. Regarding 3rd parties well we knew Western developers were gonna throw some bones to test it out. Don't expect big blockbuster releases from CD Projektz, Activision, Rockstar, etc.

Mario Odyssey continues to look more and more incredible.

I was really looking forward to Zelda DLC news, but nada :( I thought for sure it would be there too.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.

Splatoon 2?
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe?
Pokken Tournament?
Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+?
Bomberman?

All those digital titles like Sonic Mania, Thumper or Overcooked?

Glad I stayed up, this was hype as fuck. Maybe my favorite Nintendo Direct yet.
Mario looks goddamn brilliant, the Switch is building up its RPG library with some unique titles (Octopath looks downright amazing) and... What the hell Bethesda? Doom and Wolfenstein 2? Never would have imagined that in a million years.

This is one hell of a first year for the Switch. And 2018 should be great too. Also, I need to buy a 3DS again.

AND THAT MARIO BOD!!!!!!!!

Well was pretty disappointed.
Didn't feel there was much in terms of announcements, especially from a 45 minute presentation.
Only thing that surprised me Doom/Wolfenstein coming to Switch, which I'll be very curious to see how they perform/look compared to the other versions.
Other than that, was good to see Xenoblade finally get a release date, and it looks better than it did in previous videos, so that's good to see. Mario Odyssey I don't feel I need to see anymore, I'm just ready for it, ha ha.

Now the wait continues for Bayonetta 3 (& 1/2?), TW101 (or 102?) and SSB Switch.

Wolfenstein 2 is kinda big but those other games are 2+ years old so I wouldn't count them as announcements.

Wait people were disappointed? Just what were you expecting?
Please be excited.

People crave attention I guess. If I was disappointing I'd just tune out and move on.

Great, Switch purchase affirming, direct for me. I couldn't be happier.

Let's be honest guys, this direct was just a 45 Minute Infomercial about Mario Odyssey and well. I'm sold.

It was a pretty light direct in terms of announcements, but we got to see a lot of gameplay and some info on stuff we already know is coming. I assumed Octopath was super early in dev. Seems like it's much closer than we think.

Still a ton of questions on what early 2018 looks like for the system. Guessing we'll be getting another Direct before the year is done.

Have to say I agree. The more I see of it the less I want it. Skyrim will be my holiday game if I'm not still playing Mario at that point.

Thought it was a pretty good direct, but had hoped for more information on BotW DLC #2. Glad to have a release date for the amiibo, but I can't help but think it got delayed.
