congrats kings-gaf if you exist. i was cheering hard for the kings. unlike many people cheering for them because they hate the devils, i actually had a rooting interest. they were always my 2nd favorite team behind the rangers and i lived in LA from 07-11 and attended many kings games, tixx were easy to come by. kopitar and simmonds (now in phi) were my faves, brown as well. well deserved win, such an amazing run.

and quick just accomplished a dream of many rangers fans growing up. he grew up a rangers fan and probably fantasized about beating the devils and marty in a huge game, i envy him.

Well NHL-GAF, another playoff season is over and it was a tonne of fun. I casually watch during the regular season, but was fun again to participate during the crazy playoffs, where anything can happen.

Grats to Kings-GAF for your Cup win, and proof that just making it to the playoff is a big step, no matter what you're seeded.

Will be a fun offseason for a bunch of teams with some big names, and the draft!

Wow, just realized that as well. In the end, a guy who grew up idolizing Mike Richter and the Rangers gets to win his cup beating the Ranger's greatest Nemesis. Good on ya, Quick.

i was 13 during the '94 run and i still remember having my street hockey net setup against my garage door. every day after school during the ECF i would shoot tennis balls nonstop for hours until the games would start, visualizing marty being in net, and every good shot i took would be a rangers goal that night lol

Yeah I have a hard time believing he could buy the coyotes with an amount roughly around the average team salary

Yeah looking at the King top 6 and Top 4 and its crazy how deep it is.

They looked really good on paper last summer, so did San Jose I thought.

Easily fixed. Have an intern at the City Council make a spreadsheet showing that if the coyotes leave the loss of a tenant at Jobing arena would be 120 million hit over the next 40 years for upkeep and lost part time jobs, give Jamison's group a one time payment of 119 million to manage the facility but agree to actually pay to manage the facility.

Probably the worst playoffs in terms of on ice product since the lockout, Flyers/Pens madness excluded.

Congrats to the Kings, though. They're full value for the Cup. Came together as a team at the right time. I'm legitimately happy for Willie Mitchell.

Now we all wait for the lockout!

Seriously, I teared up for Gagne and Richards handing off to Carter... fuck. I watched with a bunch of huge Kings fans here in DC and all I could think was "I'm never gonna get that feeling." Fuck you Flyers. Fuck you.
