Oh, playoffs, what a great time of the year.

Screw the world this year. I´ve always picked safe and every time the playoffs come around there´s an upset few people are predicting.

Bulls in 4
Boston in 6
Knicks in 6
Indiana in 5

Spurs in 4
Clippers in 6
Dallas in 7
Lakers in 6

Four upsets might be too much, but what the hell, i think this short season it´s gonna be very interesting in the playoffs.

Also I learned from Bill Simmons today that Scotty Brooks is now trying to go by Scott Brooks because there is a male porn star named Scottie Brooks.

I mentioned this a couple of years ago. Scott Brooks did something stupid during a game once and I went to google image "Scotty Brooks", with SafeSearch Off, and my world was shattered.

Knicks are going to punch Miami in the mouth. They are too undersized; Chandler will cover Bosh primarily/act as a floater in the paint to deter casual drives, Shump and JR will make life difficult for Wade, STAT and the other bigs will neutralize the Heat "bigs", and we'll dare LBJ to win by himself, ala Kobe v. the Pistons in 2004.

Then, Lin will rise like Lazarus in the second round to stabilize our PG play and we'll make a crazy 1999 run to the Finals. This is all scientific fact, by the way.

If there was ever a player that could win a game by himself if he had his head in it, that would be lebron. I have the heat beating the knicks just coz of lebron. Did y'all see the heat play last year pre-finals? Now since lebron has something to prove while having the best statistical year of his career.I wouldn't want to face the heat if i was anyone. I predict this is his year.

Bulls in 5.
Pacers in 5 (likely 4, but meh).
Celtics in 6.
Heat in 6.

Spurs in 7 (lol 4)
Thunder in 6 (assuming Harden's back to 100%).
Lakers in 5.
Grizzlies in 6.

Not expecting many sweeps this year at all, which I guess is pretty cool.

if you arent a Jazz fan and said Spurs in 4 then fuck you, buddy.

Why so salty? I respect the Jazz and what they've done, but they kinda backed into the playoffs and they don't have enough offense to compete evenly with the Spurs at all. Their defense is good enough to compete with a lot of teams in the WC playoffs, but not the Spurs. Not even close. I hate the Spurts, but I'm not blind to what I've seen when these two teams have played.

Bulls In 5
Heat in 4 or Knicks in 6 (This is not what I think will happen but what I'd like to see happen. Either outcome would please me. Heat proobably win in 5 despite not having HCA.)
Pacers in 4
Hawks in 6

Spurs in 5
OKC in 6
Lakers in 6
Memphis in 5

Jazz are 6th in offense, 19th in defense, and on a 5 game winning streak, wtf?

You can never win by yourself in basketball.
Even Michael Jordan, the greatest basketball player to ever exist, needed help to win. I don't care how motivated/desperate you are; no one player is more powerful than the game.
LBJ can score 50 points a game in each of these games, but he's going to need the rest of his team to get him 40 or so more AND defend well in order to win.

The Knicks are supposed to lose this series - but they've got a puncher's chance because they have the personnel to fuck the Heat's game up. The Knicks have to limit turnovers, and beat them with size/physical play. If they do that, and defend logically (again, Chandler v Bosh, bigs v Heat "bigs", JR/Shump v Wade, ignore LBJ since no one can really lock him out), they can pull this out.

I really hope nobody is gassing this Nuggets team, early season fraud status really inflated their record. Magic break the record for worst margin of victory in a sweep. Knicks and Clips steal game 1.

This is true to a point. You're telling me jordan never had games in the playoffs where he didn't have to carry his team single handedly, heck even kobe has had those kind of games only now Lebron doesn't have to do it for a full game let alone seven... all lebron has to do is carry his team through a single quarter and wade and bosh with the rest of his supporting cast can pick up the slack later.

Again, No other team this season has a "wade-like" player so lebron does not have to do it for the whole game. Do you think wade alone can't score 30 against the knicks? And you're kidding yourself if you think shumpert can gaurd wade for seven games........

EDIT: And btw, the last 3 games against the knicks, wade had 28,22 and 28 all above 50% shooting.

Where do the Spurs ranks offensively and defensively? And streaks mean nothing once the playoffs start as I'm sure you know. Think Miami or San Antonio care about their current streak? Fact is, the Jazz barely managed to nab the 8th seed (despite how they rank offensively/defensively), have no success in beating the Spurs when the big three play this season and lack depth off the bench in comparison.

I think the Spurs will win the series pretty easily most likely, but none of your original reasons made any sense.
