The ones that went away permanently were Pop and Figure. Soccer and NBA got nuked for months. Wrestling had to take a month off. Rockband just got cleaned out but it was the most interesting one.
They all have the same thing in common. Entitled posters who think they are above the rest of the board's rules.

Makes sense to me. FigureGAF was about being creepy with anime figures and PopGAF was about being weird with pop singers, so they're almost the same thing. And sports and wrestling can turn people mad.Man, what odd selection of threads that get nuked.

Figures are so damn expensive. People in that thread spent thousands on them.
I still want that Hisoka figure with the light up crotch but I'm not sure how you explain that one to random people who notice it.

That's why I never care for figures. They look cool and all, but I never want to spend a huge amount of change for a figure.

I barely post in MLB though even if I try to catch Royals games all the time when I can (usually when I on the treadmill we recently got so I can lose weight and I'm proud to say I've lost a few pounds so that's good) or see updates on my MLB playing cousin.

At least with my Sonic Mania statue, it was part of a LE & was only about $45 after Amazon Prime & such, not to mention amiibo are more affordable....though considering I'm past 80 of them, it really adds up if you do the math...

(Nearly) Naked anime girls and getting creepy with them.
That wasn't even what really got them banned, it was repeated warnings about being creepy and not changing their behavior. None of this was overnight and everyone was warned.

There is a Warhammer 40K OT that covers all that and the books and games so that's already covered. I don't post there much because Games Workshop has really been fucking up the lore and story of WH40K these last few years.
I post in that OT, lol.
The 8th edition lore has been really good. They finally progressed the plot!
Man there are so many retcons and changes that I was not at all happy with. The Black Library books are even worse lately but I realize that's a lot of disparate authors covering a lot of different lore related topics but man a lot of the stuff they've been doing lately hasn't sat well with me even if I haven't played the table top in years.

As someone who joined neogaf purely to post in the Rock Band GAF thread and was a somewhat active poster, your ideas of what happened are completely and utterly wrong.
I'll keep it at that since I don't want to cause any drama here.

Mecha figurines can posable like toys (and can pretty much be toys), and WH40k models let you play the game.
