Trump reportedly called Flynn at 3AM because he forgot how the dollar works

The reality of the situation is that the only way to guarantee Trump lose in 2020 is if he causes another financial crisis. I am not saying that it's ok for that to happen, but considering how incompetent this idiot is, it's not too far off for it to happen again pretty soon.

He ran ALL his businesses into dirt. He maintained an image of a rich guy because the courts agreed that his bankruptcy settlement allowed him to net $400k/year for his expenses in the 90's. It was during that time he got hired by NBC for The Apprentice, and thats where he got rich. Seriously read up on him. The guy is a narcissistic clueless moron.

Holy shit, The Apprentice started in the 90s?! I thought it was later.

Wouldn't it be amazing if there was a way to know about his personal finances, shame we have nothing that could let us know...

I fully and 100% believe at this point that if he's not functionally broke (has millions in assets but even more in debt) then he's about as close as you can be.

This whole thing was a facade from jump. It's why he's putting people around him that will benefit him when he leaves office, to line his pockets and keep himself above water. As he's always done with all his businesses.

"I’ve been in this town for 26 years. I have never seen anything like this. I genuinely do not think this is a mentally healthy president."
Eliot Cohen, former State Department official under George W. Bush

This has to be dementia or something. Trump's always been a dumbfuck but if there's one thing he knows, it's money.
It's actually a valid question and that's why you have a trusted economics advisor and a plan
But these guys are suspicious of bright people that are not directly from Brietbart. That's the story. That he doesn't trust expertise.

I have taken care of people with Parkinson's and there is a lot in his behavior that seems similar. Loss of mental sharpness, lack of sleep, increased belligerence and racism, those odd handshakes I linked in the OP could be signs of dyskinesia. Everyone laughs that Trump is afraid of stairs, but stairs and slopes were the first thing that the Parkinson's patients I looked after had trouble with.

It's something to keep an eye on.

It's honestly reminding me of what happened to Reagan a few years in. It's not like Trump is a kid, he's 70 years old. Dementia at that age isn't out of the realm of possibility.

I just don't know what to say.

People really elected a dude who is so fucking clueless I'm waiting for the day he initiates the nuclear codes.

It's a valid question for a freshman economics student, this dude has been running a massive international real estate company for decades.

I feel like a Lovecraftian investigator staring through a microscope at a recently uncovered shard of bizarre pottery and suddenly realizing its non-euclidean angles signify that the entire world is but a single edifice balanced at the edge of a yawning chasm...and it's slipping.

SAN check time.

Again.

Hmmm Normally I would say the US would want a Strong Dollar im guessing as we import more than export so I can see why trump would be confused as he wants manufactoring here so Im guessing he would want to make the dollar weaker but I'm no economist and really this is a confusing topic for me and perhaps Im wrong as I think it also depends on what type of industry you country specilises in.

I don't have any experience with Parkinson's but Trump's behavior reminds me so much of watching the slow descent of my Grandmother into full dementia. It snuck up so slow on her that for the first decade or so that we just thought her erratic behavior and anger was just being eccentric and old so I can see how people close to Trump may not realize what's going on. I would imagine that the stress of this job is going to accelerate whatever the issue is.

I think you're supposed to vote for people who are good at business though.

That's what baffles me. The man has never been a successful businessman. I mean fuck, the 40+ year old people that voted for him should know this, he was a renowned JOKE in the late 80's early 90's for what a shit business man, mizer, and awful human being he was.

How do these people forget this so quickly? Because he has a bunch of gold stuff and his name on some casinos?

Okay, this is so ridiculous even I have a hard time believing it.

Guess we'll see if anyone else picks up the story.

What is good for him isn't good for the country though, he may be trying to get his head around macro economics.

But it was only a few days ago that he was complaining about a strong dollar

Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump and a top economics adviser on Tuesday unleashed a barrage of criticism against Germany, Japan and China, saying the three key U.S. trading partners were engaged in devaluing their currencies to the harm of American companies and consumers.

So I am siding with early onset dementia especially trying to get the answer out of a general

There are people who voted for this man because they thought a businessman would be best for the White House.
A competent businessman might have been.
Donald Trump, on the other hand, has NEVER been a competent businessman... and now he's both losing the remainder of his marbles and under an extraordinary amount of pressure.

They remember his failures, they just don't see them as such. If you ask people like my dad, Trump's problems were all just because "that's how the game is played." All the bankruptcies, the lawsuits, it's all just business as usual apparently.

Remember all the shit people said about Bush Jr in his day? Shit, it's only a lil bit in Trump's time lol.

Not quite, historical data shows that when Republicans hold office the economy does worse in comparison when a democrat takes office.

That's because most Democratic presidents either understand the importance of aggregate demand or listen to the people that do. Trump on the other hand...yeah we're fucked.
