That's just one of the presets you can choose if you customize the eyes of your character, seems like Monolith also used it for Elma back then.
But it also seems that they got rid of it, is it just me or does Elma look better in the current version? It's less doll like. ^^

I wonder how they'll localize her. If they just translate the cutesy anime archetype to English, oh boy, people are going to hate her even more.

Oh, but she also has cleavage armor. And a short skirt school girl outfit. It's one of the few things that makes me roll my eyes at this game.

Yeah, about that. Seems like there will be more revealing outfits... Like this cleavage is kind of awkward, the way it's got that infamous 'unprotected circle' with the boobs cupped like that. I wouldn't be upset if they upped her age to 16 for the localization. I hope her version of the 'bikini outfit' is a sensible one-piece. :I

I think that would be even creepier since her face doesn't look anywhere near 16; or 13 for that matter.
Watching right now (didn't have enought time during the weekend) and I LOVE everything about the new mechanics in combat, Soul Voice looks amazing, the animations looks really fast and the mechanics of position including height and target of enemy parts is everything I need... Now let me see about this armors and weapons bit.
One thing I noticed is that in the armor designs are not less detailed that the ones in Xenoblade but those were kind of ruined because the Wii could handle the poligons and textures to make them look as awesome as the concept art.
I am not that worried about that since they already did the one-piece in the original

HP recovered the B bottom QTE is fixed, 10% of max HP for everyone, wont increase with higher soul stages. HP recovered from soul voice is also fixed, unless it's a support one. They should have explained soul stages more. :|

Well, now that is a bit of a controversial topic. I'm fine with people wearing whatever they want, I'm even fine with almost nude armor. But when you're presenting a character like one in a video game, the image is formed by designers. Unless she really is a careless character, it doesn't make sense for a 13 year old engineering genius to have such sexualized design choices in her outfits (as 'tame' as it is in this example). Ehh, I really don't know. You can go in circles about subjects like these, I don't wanna start a discussion like that.
The combat looks very boring
In defense of Xenoblade's combat, it's not meant to be visceral and flashy to sell you on it in that way. With that said, there's several layers to the combat system that add depth to it despite how simplistic it may seem on the surface level.
Or a water park. Last time I was there I called the owners pervert jailbaiters for allowing the young girls to wear bathing suits.
Seriously though, what they have shown is pretty tame.

always relevant but on the topic how long till mech videos though, thats the thing i've been dieing to see. Combat looks like it'll be fun for multiplayer, looks like it'll have a grindy like element, sorta like Phantasy star or Monster hunter.

Yup,if you played Xenoblade then you'd get what makes this so exciting. Xenoblade seems simple too when I first started, then more and more layers start to appear.
What evidence have we received that her wardrobe change is anything based on her personality and not just whatever min-maxing the player want's to do on the party? Frankly it would be even worse if the devs gave her a smaller pool of armor sets just because someone 'feels' that it's wrong.

I agree though I have only heard his work in this game and Shingeki no Kyojin. My only issue I'm having currently with this OST is the amount of vocal tracks. I would prefer something comparable to ambient music of the first Xenoblade.
In regards to the outfits, they are really a non issue for me. I've seen other anime/video games with more revealing clothes even for characters of Lyn's age.

I have noticed waaaay too much stuttering in all the trailers/gameplay of this game. I think I need to download the video. I hope this youtube issue doesn't affect the sales.

I love the explosive body part damage on the monsters in these gifs. I feel like there was previous instances of limb damage on the dolls, or maybe I was imagining it XD

It's a shame Tatsu doesn't fight with you. I guess they are going hard Sci-Fi so it would be more difficult to integrated Tatsu.
Is he the new Allen Ridgly? Allen was one of my favorite characters.
As for the emergency food supply joke it just reminds me so much of Chopper and Sanji from One Piece. Or for a far darker example Excel and Menchi from Excel Saga. I'm enjoying it.

The thing is I'm pretty sure the armor is simply separated by gender. IN that case it would just draw attention if Lyn couldn't wear specific armor sets. I'm fine with it if all females wear the same armor.

It's interesting because Tatsu carries dual wielding weapons in his backpack, but doesn't fight. u-u
I have a hunch that a Nopon might join the party though, but possibly more like one of those temporary members shown in the latest direct. Considering a new heropon was mentioned in that first short story on the website, perhaps that guy will (be forced to) join the party to return the favour of helping a fellow Nopon.

Yea plus the bit from Takahashi's Famitsu interview where he mentioned that using the mech has advantages and disadvantages depending on the enemy or situation. Plus the weather playing a role (electrical storms disabling your mech), too. Lots of stuff to keep track of. I love it!

Cool man, yeah don't trust a Youtube video for a visual frame rate analysis. This game is pretty much a locked 30fps from everything I've seen.
Yeah I really doubt this is actually going to be a thing. A cockpit view really makes no sense with this game, especially not the battle system.
We do have young genius kid in real world though. And who knows, in future we will had young kids being genetically enginered to grow older faster and being smarter than the older generation.
Cock pit view is actually part of a secret mini game in the underground Nopon run illegal cock fighting circles of the seedy underbelly of neo LA.
It gets a cock eyed view of the cock pit, which is where the cocks fight.
