Shut the fuck up, Iori. Makoto is exponentially more awesome than you. If the two of you screwed up together, it was almost certainly your fault. And if Makoto's the fastest one, why'd they put her with Iori?

Also, are these idol games or whatever a thing? Or was this something the writers of the show made up to come up with an episode where everybody participates and bonds with each other like the beach episode?

Why'd Yayoi get to hold the trophy at the end? It was her fault they ended up behind cause she decided to put her head down and start walking. Guess it's that "supporting your teammates" sort of thing.

Yeah, that theme is stuck in my head right now. The sound effects weren't shabby, but I did find myself squinting at the visual cue of
sparkles
in the liquids. Nonetheless, it was all quite charming! I find that other erotic works (much newer than this) are largely bland.

They are - they are terribly bland. I like my hentai tongue-in-cheek, at least part of the way through. Be sure to check out Pop Chaser next! I wanna know what you think of that as well.

I didn't even find her to be that cute. Mainly because of her stupidity (not because she's kawaii), but perhaps this is the point. Noriko is also a "kawaii" girl, as you put it, but she has the fitness and agility of a well trained athlete. Her body was full, but firm. She was human and emotional, but her true beauty was in her ability to put herself second and make a sacrifice despite herself, and despite her feelings. That is why she's easier to masturbate to than Nono, don't you think?

Bykawai, I was thinking more of the genral outfit, clothing etc...
Nono is superficial (but she's a robot) with a wanna-be cute appearance (maid outfit, loli). Opposed to hat Noriko has a more mature look and deep appealing personality, therefore having my preference.

About the last part, I will talk only in the presence of my lawyer.

Depends on if you count mahou shoujo as shoujo.
Naw, because the people that are supposed to watch it aren't old enough for it to be weird for them to watch cartoons.

And the otaku are... well, otaku. lol
(Brocure hoof thingie whatever!)

You're bad people. You gotta have that faith.
Faith of the heart?

What can I say... One of the best mystery series I've seen so far. And I include shows that are not Japanese.
It's so good! The trio has great interactions, Serizawa is pretty funny. He always act cool but he ends up being clueless while Enomoto barely talks, but when he talks he's just so badass. Everybody just shut their mouth and listen to him. He has his gimmick when he rubs his fingers, stops, and we hear a sound of a key unlocking a door. So cool.
He builds smaller versions of the rooms, makes us visit them with a small camera... And there's my waifu Toda Erika as Junko, the rookie lawyer!
The mysteries so far were pretty great, the explainations were clever, realistic. I love the "locked rooms murders" concept, it's not something you're really used to see (well, as far as I'm concerned) and it works great.
The OST is pretty solid, and the ending theme by Arashi is actually enjoyable and catchy.
I do like how all jdrama otakus are hawt idoru boys. :p

And to think it was the show that got me into regular anime watching. So tragic. At least the manga still lives.
Oh really? I got in via Macross Frontier, so what can I say. It's certainly one of the weirder comedies to have aired recently anyway, based simply on the age of the characters.

Well I disagree with your position on infodumps mainly on the grounds that sometimes speeches or conversations are the quickest and most accurate way to relay information to a reader or viewer. There may also be information that only a select few people know and so that also leads to a infodump when the knowledge is passed on. This is especially prevalent in scifi or fantasy mainly because the further a person gets away our world, the more basic information they have to relay. There may be very fundamental rules that every person in the parallel universe understands such as the basics of magic but the audience themselves wouldn't and so this has to be communicated in some form. While yes, there are some things that can be visually relayed, there are also things that can really only be told. Hell, most information in the real world is convened in some form of infodump via college lectures, youtube videos, wikipages, or something of that sort.

Now there are other components to infodumps such as whether the information is valuable or could be expressed in a more organic manner visually but infodumps shouldn't just be viewed as a negative from the get-go. They're a tool. The problem with the sexposition in Game of Thrones is how artificial it feels in both placement(are there many people who give history lectures before they bang someone?) and actual content. SSY also felt somewhat artificial in regards to placement as the timing felt way too perfect. That said, bad examples of someone using a tool, doesn't make the tool itself bad.

I'm definitely mixing a metaphor here, but to me infodumps are akin to using a hammer to open a jar of pickles. Sure, a manner can do the job, but there are better ways to open that jar. Or perhaps more apt for GAF, infodumps are the cutscenes of videogames. In the case of Metal Gear, cutscenes ARE infodumps.

Since A Separation is the first movie that comes to mind for some reason, I can only imagine how horrible that movie would have been if they spent 10 minutes explaining the intricacies of the Iranian court system and divorce process. I just believe that showing human beings living in a world, fictional or not, should be enough to tell you everything you need to know about the world they live in.

Maybe the infodump can be a useful tool. But it's a tool that most people can't use properly.

Again, there's like two episodes out of what 25? (the rest of the series might have more infodumps so who knows!) that have anything resembling a infodump. Doesn't that more or less fit with your wrath of khan comparison, which is like 6-minutes out of 90-120 minutes? :p

Seriously, you overreact about the weirdest shit firehawk12. I still don't get your thing with Sword art online what makes it any more offensive than most of the garbage anime you watch on a daily basis? and so worthy of extreme visceral reactions :p

And to be fair - I think you should watch the rest of SSY then discuss it again. Because judging from the last conversation we had about it on IRC. I think you have the "wrong' idea about what the show actually is. It's also frustrating seeing you rant about it based on your misconceptions of what you took the series to be from episode 4! :D

It's not a misconception if it's based on what I actually saw though. :p

As for SAO, I've explained many times why it's the most destructive and dangerous anime to be produced in recent memory. The fact that it's so successful, both domestically and internationally, is a testament to the insidious nature of the show. When a show makes OniAi look reasonable, then it's time to pack it in.

Hmm, it's actually really entertaining to to see the constant tactical back and forth in this show.
I was surprised by the li Mu reveal, I kinda like him and his bodyguard so I hope they live toi fight another day after this war. I also wonder why the third Great General is.
If it really didn't look like complete shit most of the time then this would definitely have a far larger following but instead we're stuck with things like the following to demonstrate Nomad tribes clashing with one another:

Not to worry though as the next episode looks like it'll have some really nicely animated stuff which I'll probably end up giffing instead of the usual visual CG assplosions.

Yes I agree. I'm glad you were open to talking about this. You're a good junior. We need more of these kinds of conversations and less arguments. The world is a wonderful place when you are aroused.

You have this hilarious way of starting a paragraph with wit and wisdom and genuineness and then putting a brick wall at the end of it

Factually false, since it's very much possible to have a misconception, based on something you have witnessed! ;p

After the first episode, I really thought Amnesia might be interesting but after episode 3 and half way through episode 4, I'm now feeling this is a contrived steaming hot melodramatic pile.

Looks like things are finally wrapping up. I'm still a Aoyama fan, but it's pretty obv whose gonna end up with who.

I don't see anything inherently wrong with cutscenes in videogames as long as they're not abused like MGS4. I think it depends on the type of story the author wants to tell. If it's very narrative heavy then there might be more limitations compared to a character drama. Also sometimes, I think things need to be flat out spelled out to the audience to prevent confusion if the storyline is getting insanely complex. A perfect example is actually Game of Thrones where in early versions of the show, the audience didn't know that Jaime and Cersei were siblings. Sometimes the author might have to put the brakes on a show in order to make sure the audience is still following.
