Yep, that's the only even planned and I highly doubt that P5 would ever be announced here before Japan.
Fake or not, PS3 is pretty much in line with my expectations. I think the only definite platform for P5 is PS3, with the most likely port being Vita. I never believed there'd be a next-gen version any time soon, much less that the game would be developed for next-gen. This is a company that released a PS2 game in 2008.

I don't know if it's been posted yet but Hashimoto at Atlus said "be prepared" at the Playstation Official Site's interview, so I don't think it's too hard to guess the platform.

Well this has nothing to do with the Sony event. Only that implies that P5 is likely to be on a Sony system (which should be obvious to almost everyone). P5's first unveiling should be on the 24th.
I took it as pretty much confirmation, and as you say it should be obvious.
Still trying to find what I was talking about earlier, the Sony event....starting to think I was really really wrong but I'm so sure it should be at a Sony event. Meh been wrong before will not be the last time

I don't think P5 is on PS4, but theres more to the conversation than power. The PS4 is much more welcoming development environment. That's good motivation to switch right there.
I'm sure the team is accustomed to PS3 after Catherine and working on it just fine, but yeah.

No they dont. Considering it will be an "untested" market with too many unknowns yet.
Its a far better business move to go with an existing market that they have numbers for.

It's not for the movie.
I honestly believe this would hurt the franchise more than it would benefit it.
Perhaps go so far as the 3DS but not further.

That doesn't necessarily mean it would be Sony exclusive though, companies make arrangements all the time where they show a particular game at one of the platform holder's events even if it's a multiplat title.
Yeah, if current trends are anything to go by, it'll almost certainly be PS3 only in JP with a 360 port totally possible in the west. It all depends on whether Atlus thinks it's worth it.
True enough but as I said earlier I do think it would hurt the franchise more than benefit it. even thou I had nightmares about Microsoft moneyhatting this game I don't believe them to go that way ever.
And another thing, the fans of Persona have already invested in the particular ecosystem it usually graces. It's like a stupid law of the universe but hey, switches have happened in the past.
As I expect every mainline game of SMT and it's other spin offs outside of Persona to be on Nintendo only I expect Persona to stay with Sony until it dies or Sony really really effs up.

The site now displays a "403 Forbidden", meaning they are setting up the site, but not only that. There is proof that the site was just recently updated today.
Take a look at the whois.

Good catch, Mystic. I've been confident about this from the start, but more evidence never hurts. Not too far off now..
Even if it was PS3, it depends on how much you want to play it. If you're willing to wait (admittedly at least a couple years), there'll be the inevitable PS4 or Vita port
I'd have to think used PS3s would be pretty cheap

Wasn't Persona 4 one of the last games to come out on the PS2? It would make sense for Persona 5 to come out on the PS3 even after next-gen is released.
